A Mages Secret

Chapter 2

"What!?", I said. How is this possible I can't be a mage.
   "Mom? Your not serious, are you!?",
   "Yes I am", she said. "I know its a lot to take in. But Crystal you have an amazing gift".
    "And what if I don't want this gift, what if...", I stoped myself there. I didn't want to upset her.
   "When we get home I'll tell you all about it", she said. She put the little minivan in reverse and backed out of the parking lot. We sat in silence the whole drive home.
      When we got into our driveway I got out and walk inside without Mom. When I got to the door Albert opened it.
"Why hello Crystal, how are you?", he asked.
"I'm just fine", I said right in his face.
"You do know I got something for you, right?".
"Yeah...what is it?". Then he quickly took out his hands and made a huge fire ball.
   "Wow...", I gasped.
   "See, it's not a joke. Your parents can do the same thing".
"Yes we can", my parents said in unison. Mom and Dad was standing in front of the door wearing robes. They aslo had fire in there hands.
    "You have a lot to learn", Albert said.
   "I'm just going to go and lie down for a bit", I said.
    "Ok take all the time you need", Mom said. I walk up the stairs and go to my room. I walk inside and lie down on my bed.
     Can I really do that, I thought. I get up and walk over to my mirror. I look at myself. Still normal. Wait, what the... My eyes were red. Just like the fire. Why are they red? Then they turned black, green and then back to red.
     My eyes! "Mom!", I yelped. I ran out my room and down the stairs.
    "Mom! My eyes they're red!"
    "Its ok. Just go to bed and we will explain everything tomorrow", she said in her calming voice.
    "Ok I will". So I went upstairs, changed clothes and lied down in bed. I then fell into a deep sleep.
