The Fight

I was thrown into Carrie. She gasped and fell, landing on top of me. The crowd could not see what was going on. Instead of yelling at me, Carrie said in a small voice, "What is going on?" "I have no idea. Are you hurt?" Carrie shook her head.It was still dark. Suddenly, the video board flickered to life behind us. "Greetings, fans and friends of Carrie Underwood. She has betrayed you." There were several gasps in the crowd. I had nightvision so I could see the crowd. There were many confused looks. "Up there!" Someone shouted, pointing to the video board.

Carrie sat up and looked at me. The lights flickered onstage. There were strip lights in both of our faces. "Carrie, my dear, it seems that you  will not join the Others. This means that you will die. You have betrayed them because you did not join." The cold voice rang out over the speakers. There were several screams in the crowd. A red diamond appeared on the screen.

Suddenly, the crowd started booing and hissing at us.They were trying to break the barriers. A few men gathered onstage. "Prepare to die. So nice you could see Carrie off with us, A154!" I froze. Two men, one tall and muscular, the other almost  exactly like him tried to grab Carrie, she was too quick.

She grabbed a mic stand and swung, knocking them both down at once. She rounded on me swinging wildly. I caught it in my hand and grabbed her wrist. "You.. you're.. you're with them!" She yelled, a wild gleam in her eyes. "No, I'm not. I'm here to protect you." I said quickly. I grabbed the mic stand and swung over her head, the man behind her was knocked out cold. She stared at me and blinked, a small smile forming on her lips. I saw my big friend from the stairs in my side view.

I took him out and turned around, Carrie was struggling against four huge guys. I sprinted over there and picked up one of the guys, throwing him across the stage. I turned back to see Carrie lyring on the floor, knocked out cold. I turned and kicked one of the guys in the head. The other two had picked up Carrie and were dragging her off. I ran forward but was met with a cattle prod to the back. I shook, fighting the blackness that threatened to take over my vision.

I was paralyzed onto the floor for a few minutes. Everything was in slow motion. I looked with my eyes and saw her band looking catotonic. They were hypnotized. Her drummer looked at me. I could see the whites of his eyes turning red. They were pulling me in, closer, closer, until that was all I could focus on. I blinked. It was all gone, as if it were a dream. I could move again. I heard screams, "You can't take her!" I was still in a dream state.

I shook my head and leapt to my feet. I reazlied it was Hunter. He was looking at Carrie, and not the board. "The board! That is the secret!" I said quickly. I scrambled over to the mic stand next to her drummer's foot. He looked at me as if he was going to help and then  punched me in the gut. I doubled over. Thinking quickly, I grabbed the mic stand and swung, knocking him into his drum set. I launched myself over to where Carrie and Hunter were. The two men had thrown Carrie over to the side, the cattle prods in the isle below. I could see blood pooling from her head where she was. She had hit the lip of the second stage above her.

i knew I only had a few minutes. Hunter was trying to take down the two guys, his back to me. I had an idea. If aimed just right. "DUCK HUNTER!" I yelled. He ducked. I swung the mic stand over his head with such force it took out both men at once. I let go and it went flying into the big screen. Two of the men on the other side, the twins, came at me. At that time, I had struck the board with so much force that it had shattered and a small fire started on stage. "Great job, now we're gonna burn to death." I heard Hunter say angrily. I ran and stepped over the men to look at Carrie. "Try to hold them off for me, watch out for the cattle prods!" I yelled. I didn't hear his reply.

Carrie was taking shallow breaths, her face was eriliy white. "Hunter! I need something to wrap around her head! I yelled. He ran over to me, the two men following him. I leapt up and felt a burning rage, they had tried to kill my two friends. I grabbed their shirts and threw them both into the end of the stage. I heard a CRACK! before they went over. Hunter was now standing facing Carrie, he was shirtless. "Really?" I asked, smirking. "You said something and this was something. It's way less creepy if I did it then you!" He yelled. There was now a roaring as the crowd broke through the barriers. "We gotta run!" I yelled picking up Carrie. She was so light I almost dropped her.

I sprinted backstage, still holding Carrie. There was nobody in any of the hallways. I could hear a sound as if a thousand rinos had come backstage. "Hunter! The dogs!" I yelled over the noise. He grabbed the door to her room as we flew past. He flung open the door and whistled. I kept going. There were people right behind us now. We finally made it outside. "Hunter, take my keys and click the top button!" I yelled, trying to juggle Carrie and my need for my keys. He ran over, Ace and Penny bounding behind him. I couldn't reach my keys. "Get them out of my pocket!" I said, pointing with my head to my jeans pocket.

He made a face and took them out. He pressed the button. "WHAT NOW?" He yelled, panicing.  The crowd was right behind us. "WE WAIT!" I bellowed back. I heard the heavenly sound of an engine coming our way. Seconds after we heard it, my huge Jeep, looking like a humvee, came into view. We ran toward the Jeep/Humvee and it stopped next to Hunter. I handed him Carrie and he flung the door open. I didn't even wait before I floored it and made a U-turn.
