🍀Carrie POV🍀

I opened my eyes. I was still lying in my little cave. I started to sob. I had no idea who I was or what I was doing here.

I just laid there and kept my eyes closed. I didn't want to be here anymore. And of I lived here, it was an awful place to live.

"Come out! Time to play!" I heard the beast laugh. It sounded like someone was choking.

Suddenly, the roof over me was beginning to be ripped apart. I realized then that I was under a tree. The monster was uprooting it!

I started to scream and plead. I didn't know where else to go. Suddenly, the roaring and tearing stopped. I felt a hand close around my hand and peeked up.

It was a woman with brown and red hair holding a torch. She stood in front of me protectively. I looked over to see the monster in burning ruins. "These are not your dreams or memories." Was all she said. I didn't know wether she was real or if I could trust her.

I sat down, cross legged. "Get up." She said, looking around worriedly. She looked terrified. "We need to get out of here." She said calmly. I shook my head.

"You're just another illusion." I snapped at her. I was stubborn but so was she."No, I'm not." She dragged me to my feet. I didn't move once she stood me up.

She suddenly went rigid. We were at the highway. "No. No. No. No." She started to say that word over and over.

I moved and covered her eyes. I lead her away from the scene. "How do we get out of here?" I asked her, begging her.

She said nothing but started to walk. "These aren't your nightmares. These are mine." Was all she said. I nodded, feeling sorry for her. If these were hers then who was I?

We walked for a long while until finally, we reached a clearing. It was a perfect circle of trees. In the middle was a perfect, red glowing crystal heart. "This is us." I stared at her. What did that mean?

She walked over and picked it up, it seemed to singe her hands. I saw tears on her face. She stood next to me and broke it over our heads.

I awoke to bright lights. I tried to move but was belted down to the table.

"You're awake. Good!" Someone said. A man walked into view. I remembered him, it was Jim, a scientist!

"Thank you God." I said, smiling. I was still terrified. I looked over Lana was passed out on a thing identical to mine.

"What's wrong with her?" My voice echoed. "She's recovering." Was all he said. I fell back asleep. This time, it was dreamless.

I awoke to see Lana hovering over me and staring at me. I jumped backwards. It was then I realized I was in a regular bed. "What? I wasn't tying to kiss you, honey." She laughed slightly.

"Thank goodness for that!" She smiled at me. "You're not even my type." She laughed then, then seeing the look on my face, she smiled.

We were in a room with grey walls and one part was a huge window, showing to the outside world for once. It was a forest. The door was a huge, grey steel door.

I looked up. "How are you?" I asked her awkwardly. "Me? How are you?" She said. I nodded slowly. "I'm alright." She breathed a sigh of relief.

"That was really close." Those words hung in the air.

She disappeared and walked over to a vanity with a mirror. "Those... Memories you saw.. Were mine." Her voice was a whisper, no trace of the happy Lana I had seen a minute ago.

I just sat in silence. That's what she lived with every night..?

"I.. I don't know what to say." I mumbled. "Then don't say anything."

We just at there in silence.
