🐴Reid POV🐴

"The only reason you agree with her is because you're in love with her." Those words hung in the air and shook when the door slammed.

"I..." Was all Lana said awkwardly. I just stared at the door. I was really confused. All I did was be nice to her. I mean, did I love her? No, I didn't. Carrie squeezed my arm before leaving. "Let your sister help you. I'll be back. And if you ever need help, even after this is over, give me a call. I mean it." She smiled comfortingly. She stood up and left the room.

"I.. I don't know what to say." I mumbled. Lana smiled shyly at me. Suddenly, the door opened, a man that looked like a rocker came in.

"Lana, babe, how are you?" I stared at him. He looked really weird. Almost like a sewer rat. All of a sudden, my nosy sister, Kimberly, looked at me and then the door.

I nodded slightly and opened the door. She followed me and shut the door. "Reid, there's something I must tell you." She looked hesitant to say anything.

"Go on." I said quietly. "She has a.." Kimberly stopped and listened. "She has a what?" I asked, confused.

"Do you love Lana?" Kimberly asked. That question hung in the air. "I..no. I don't think so.. I mean.. I don't know. No. That's my answer." I stumbled before setting my beliefs straight. She looked at me and nodded.

"She has a boyfriend." That's all she said. I sat there and shrugged. "Oh, that's all? I thought you meant she was dying." I laughed slightly. Kimberly smiled for a moment.

Suddenly, we heard fighting in the room. "You're a freak!" Kimberly and I looked at each other. We nodded and barged into the room.

I ran inside. There was a huge screaming match going on. Lana was in tears and curled into a ball. "I.. I thought you loved me. I still love you." I heard her quiet and damaged voice break the silence.

The man shook. I stared at his back, daring him to say something. And when he finally did, "I need to leave. To give this time to sink in." He tried to leave but Kimberly barricaded the door like a bulldog.

"You will not come back unless I tell you to." She snarled and practically threw him out the door. She slammed it in his face.

I stared at my older sister with a look of pride and fear. She turned to me and said, "Someone had to do it. Can you go get my phone? I think I left it on my bed." She made a face. She really didn't want her phone but she wanted some girl time.

I nodded and walked out without another word.
