The Newcomer

Chapter 3

- Yes, that is Chanyeol. Why do you look so surprised? - Dae-Jin asked, confused.

Realising she spoke out loud, she prayed no one else had heard her.

- N-No... It's nothing really. - Hyun quietly replied.

Dae-Jin got closer to her - Don't tell me... You have a crush on him!

- T-That's not it! - Hyun said loudly, almost standing up. Everybody was now looking at her silently, including EXO and the MCs.

Hyun felt really embarrased and the expression on her face was of pure uneasiness. She saw Xiumin trying to contain his laughter, and Kai with a smirk, looking at her. She slowly sat down and tried to hide herself as much as possible.
The MCs carried on the show as if nothing had happened, as they are supposed to do.
Hyun felt extremely embarassed and her face was red all over.

- Oh no, Bora, you look so red! Are you feverish? - Dae-Jin asked, worried.

- N-No... I'm fine, don't worry. - Hyun lied. She was feeling sick to her stomach, she was not used to this life of being surrounded by so many people, especially important, famous ones. Everything was happening so fast.

A while after, EXO and BTS performed each two songs from their latest album and Hyun was feeling better. She was calm and laughing with Dae-Jin, who was proving to be a sweet girl.

The MC's went back to the stage.

- Amazing performances as expected! But don't think this event is ending.

- There is still one last thing to do before closing doors. As some of you may know, we have recently had trainees successfully finish that stage, and by doing it means they are ready to debut.

Hyun's heart skipped a beat while hearing those words, but she could tell the same thing happened to Dae-Jin as she was slightly shaking. Seeing the nervous expression on her face, Hyun held the other girl's hand, trying to comfort her. Dae-Jin looked at her surprised, she looked at their hands and then back at Hyun with a smile, and in her lips she read a "thank you".

The MC's continued:

- There are four people in this very room who were accepted last week to enter our company. Four girls, to be exact.

- None of them were informed on how their debuting would occur intentionally. It was decided it would be a great surprise to announce it right here, right now.

- We call to the stage Areum Gi, Dae-Jin, Jonghye and Bora Hyun. Please, como introduce yourselves!

Hyun and Dae-Jin looked at each other at the same time, both with an expression of shock, followed by a wide smile and a hug. They stood up and saw two other girls from across the room do the same and walked over to the stage.
On her way there, Hyun felt many eyes on her, which made her uncomfortable but she tried her best to ignore it. They entered the stage and although nervous, Hyun was happy to be there. But still, she didn't know what to expect.

- Please, introduce yourselves. - One of the MC's said.
A girl received a microphone.

- Hello, my name is Areum Gi. Thank you for having me. - She smiled and gave the microphone to the girl next to her. Areum was beautiful, she had long, black hair and pretty eyes.

- Hello, my name is Jonghye and thank you for receiving me so well. - Jonghye seemed a bit more shy and serious, but she was beautiful as well. Her hair was dyed blonde and her nose was cute, small and round.

Then, it was time for Hyun to receive the microphone. She took a deep breath and accepted it.

- H-Hello, my name is Bora Hyun and... I'm very happy to be here, thank you. - She quickly passed the microphone to Dae-Jin.

- Hello, my name is Dae-Jin, thank you for welcoming us so warmly. - She smiled.

The MC's spoke again:
- And now, please give a round of applause to... KoYA!

Everybody was clapping and cheering, but the girls looked confused. The MC then whispered to the four of them: "It's you. You're a girl group."

Hyun felt like her head was spinning. She's in a girl band with three more girls, she just moved to Seoul, she's debuting this month, she keeps encountering EXO's members somehow.

- Other artists may now come to the stage to greet one another, including our newcomers! - One of the MC said.

EXO and other groups and artists were entering the stage when suddenly Hyun fainted. She almost hit the ground when she was caught by someone.

- Quick, someone call an ambulance! She's has a fever - The person said.

The ambulance arrived shortly and Hyun was taken to the closests hospital, along with Dae-Jin.

Dae-Jin was sitting next to the bed where Hyun was. Her expression was of worry. She had been there for about one hour and a half, and the doctors had yet to say anything about her condition.

Suddenly someone knocked on the room's door. It was Kai.
Dae-Ji quickly stood up and bowed in respect. He bowed back.

- How is she? - He asked.

- I know as much as you know... - She replied. - I think it was too much for her.

- Yeah... She only arrived today and already so many things are happening all at once. - Kai replied.

They stood silent for a few seconds, both looking at Hyun with a worried expression.
Suddenly a doctor entered the room. They both immediately bowed to him.

- Hello to both of you. I'm guessing you're friends with Miss Bora? - The doctor asked, to which both replied by first looking at each other, and then with a nod.

- Great. Miss Bora is fine, you don't have to worry too much.

Dae-Jin sighed of relieve, taking her hands to her chest and Kai smiled of relieve aswell.

- Still, I did say "too much". - The doctor look very serious. - She had an anxiety attack, probably due to being exposed to a stressful situation, I'm guessing. Plus, I don't think she had a real meal the whole day, which made her feel ill.

Dae-Jin's expression changed to one of sadness while Kai looked slightly irritated.

- We only met today - Dae-Jin began to reply - I couldn't have know...

- The same goes for me. I didn't know her until we met couple minutes before the event. - Kai said, staring at the floor.

- Well, if you do consider each other friends now, I recommend you look after her. She seems to be a little out of hand with everything for now.

Dae-Jin's and Kai's expressions changed to a serious one and they both nodded once more, and the doctor left the room.

- There's no need for that. - Hyun suddenly said.
