Justin's Pov

I heard a loud crash from the other end of the phone and got scared. "Lydia!!!! Are you okay?! Lyds answer me!" I got worried and then heard her scream and heard thumps that sounded like someone falling down the stairs and got even more worried. I heard an unfamiliar voice that sounded like another girl's and thought 'That's gotta be her brother!' "Hey!! Lydia's brother!!" I yelled, trying to get his attention. I did and he answered.
"Hey, is this Justin?" He whispered, nervous and scared.
"Yeah it is. Is Lydia okay?" I asked, getting more worried.
"She has a broken arm and leg, I'm not sure what else is wrong with her. I haven't called an ambulance yet." He said, nervous. "I'll keep you updated. I gotta go." Raegan said, before hanging up. Alex ran in, and Danny was happy and hugged him, but they saw the scared look on my face and came over.
"What happened, Justin?" Alex asked first, worried. "Who was on the phone just now?!" He yelled, getting scared.
"L-Lydia." I said, quietly. "Her dad said something, I heard a crash and I think he dropped her phone, and then pushed her down the stairs. Then I got her brother's attention and he told me what happened and I realized how abusive her parents are. Dammit! I'm so stupid!" I yelled, punching the desk in front of me.
"I can ask mom if she can book us plane tickets. Where does she live?" Danny said, looking over at Alex.
"She lives in Maryland. I'm gonna call my mom and see if I can go with you." Alex said, walking outside and calling his mom. Danny went to talk to our mom and I sat there, crying. Danny came back and looked at me, hope in his eyes. "She booked us a flight that's in two hours. We have enough time to pack and get Alex to his house and have him pack. Let's start packing." He said, pulling on my arm. Alex walks in.
"I can go. All I had to say was internet friend and my mom understood and said yes. When's the flight?" He asked, looking at Danny, then at me.
"Two hours. We have time to pack and then we can go to your house and get your stuff packed." Danny said, practically dragging me upstairs. "Justin, you can't sit there like a lump. You need to start packing. Now before we run out of time." Danny said, pulling my arm.
"Okay I'll do it." I said, getting my carry-on bag and throwing random clothes and stuffing them in my bag and went to get my toothbrush and stuff from the bathroom and went back into the bedroom and finished packing and zipped my bag. "I'm done." I said, taking my bag out to the car. I saw Alex standing outside, fear and worry in his eyes. "Worried about Lydia?" I asked, and he jumped. "Sorry I didn't mean to scare you." I said, smiling a bit.
"Yeah, I guess I am pretty worried. She's been abused before. Mostly because she protected her brother so much. Her life's been rough." He said, sadness in his voice. Not too long after Danny walked out with two carry-on bags and a bookbag.
"Holy crap how much stuff do you need?!" I asked, shocked.
"I noticed you forgot a lot of your necessities and decided to pack those and then packed my stuff along with some other things." Danny said, putting his stuff in the trunk and slamming it. I opened it back up, put mine into the trunk, and then got in the car. Alex and Danny got in, and we drove to Alex's house. It usually took a half hour but I pushed the speed a bit, and we got there in twenty minutes and Alex ran in his house, and came back in fifteen minutes. With two suitcases. 'What is it with them and over packing?' I thought, laughing a bit, popped the trunk and then started the car. My phone started ringing and I answered it. "Hello?" I said, slightly confused.
"Hey, Justin. It's me, Lydia. I was calling to see if you were okay." Lydia's beautiful voice rang in my ears and I started crying. "Thank God you're okay." I said, sobbing. "I'm on my way. Alex and I are flying there. We are on our way to the airport now." I said, trying to calm myself down before I started driving.
"Hey, are you crying?" Lydia asked, worried. "Why are you crying for you big baby?" She said, jokingly.
"I'm sorry I didn't realize how bad your parents treat you. I wish I would've realized how bad it actually is so you wouldn't have to go through it anymore." I said, trying to calm myself down again. "I have to focus on driving do you wanna talk to Alex?" I asked.
"Yeah. Bye talk to you later." Lydia said. I heard a smile in her voice and handed the phone to Alex.
"It's Lydia. She wanted to talk to you. Put it on speaker." I whispered the last part so she wouldn't hear.
Alex nodded and put it on speaker and I started driving.
"Hey Lyd, how ya doing?" He asked, still worried.
"I'm in the hospital. My dad pushed me down the stairs. And tried to break my phone by dropping it off the top of the stairs, but I got a really protective case and I'm lucky that it didn't break." She said, smiling. I wanted to hug her, and be around her. Even though we had met that day, I felt like we were meant to be together.
"Hey, is this the girl that Justin's been obsessing over the whole day?" Danny said teasingly. Lydia screamed and freaked out.
"Oh my God, is this Danny?!" She yelled, not caring if she was in the hospital. I heard someone ask if she was okay and her say she was. "And to answer your question, I'm honestly not sure that he would obsess over me. I'm ugly." She said, sadness filling her voice. I didn't know what to say but I blurted the first thing that popped in my head.
"You're the most beautiful girl I've ever laid eyes on. Don't ever say you're ugly. Cause you aren't." I blushed immediately after. 'Shit.' I thought. 'I'm so stupid.'
Danny bursted out laughing and Alex did too, but I just sat there and focused on the road.
"You're so cute Justin." Lydia said, giggling. I couldn't help but smile at her laugh. It's adorable. That just made Alex and Danny laugh harder.
"You loove her!" Danny yelled, acting like some blue cat from an anime he made me watch. (Happy from Fairy Tail)
"Shut up guys!" I yelled, angry. Everybody stopped immediately. "Thank you." I said, relishing the silence. "Anyways, are you hurt, Lydia?" I asked, already knowing the answer.
"Yeah, I am. Pretty bad. I broke my leg, and my elbow got dislocated, and I have a concussion. They did tests to see if anything else is wrong with me." Lydia said, her voice serious.
"Well I hope nothing else is wrong with you." I said. We arrived at the airport and said our goodbyes to Lydia and got our stuff out of the trunk, and went in and I checked the time. We had been talking to Lydia for a long time. We had fifteen minutes till the plane left. We rushed through the security and got on the plane.
I posted on Instagram real quick then turned my phone off and fell asleep.
