Chapter 7| The Party

As Minseo and I are shopping I come across this cute top and found a full outfit. "This is perfect!" Min said, smiling as we went to the next store.
"Hey, can we just go get ready now, I'm getting bored and I've already got an outfit, and I'm sure you have one, too and I'm really tired." I said, rolling to the elevator with my clothes on my lap.
"Wait! I'm almost done. I've gotta grab something for tonight. Head out to the car, I'll be there soon. When I get back, do not look in the bag. I'll see ya soon!" She said, walking off and leaving me alone. I finish my trip to the elevator, and push the button and wait for it to open and then it opens, my ex is in there. "Chad, hi." I said, surprised.
"Hey Lydia, how are you? What happened?" He asked, worried about me in the wheelchair.
"My dad pushed me down the stairs and I got banged up some. I'm okay though." I said, trying to avoid him. He stayed in the elevator after I got in. "Why don't you go cheat on another girl, like you did me?" I said, crossing my arms and getting angry.
"Hey, I've changed since then. I'm different, I promise." He said, walking in front me and trying to take my hands but I yank them back.
"No! Don't fucking touch me! I'm happy now, and have a wonderful boyfriend that flew all the way from Minnesota to make sure I was okay!! You would never do that! Every time I was hurt and went to talk to you, you hid! Made up some excuse like 'oh I'm sick' or 'I've got practice!!' I'm done with you. I never wanna see you again!!!" I said, and rolled out of the elevator and out the door. Once I got to the car, I put my stuff in the trunk, and got in the car. Minseo came about a half an hour later when I was crying in the car, and knocked and gestured to pop the trunk. I did so, and sat back, waiting for her to get in the car.
"What happened? I saw this guy trying to get into the car, and told him to leave. He looked like Chad." She said, getting angry when she saw that I started crying when she mentioned his name.
"That's exactly who it was. Can we just go?" I said, my voice cracking several times.
"Yes, of course we can." She said, starting the car and driving out of the parking lot. Most of the drive was silent, except for the radio breaking the silence.

When we get back to the hotel, I wipe my tears and start getting ready to get out of the car when I get a call.

"Hello?" I said, confused why the doctor was calling me.

"Hi I was calling to tell you that you elbow should be healed enough to use the crutches I gave your mother. Goodbye." She said, before I got the chance to, she hung up and I sighed in disbelief.
"Can you stop by my house? I need to get my crutches from there." I said, my voice quivering a little.
"Yeah, sure. I'm gonna drop the clothes and stuff off inside, you stay put. I'll be right back." Min said, popping the trunk and grabbing the stuff out and dropping it off inside. I waited in the car and got a text.

Min: hey I'll be there soon.

Me: why are you telling me?

Min: idk cause I don't wanna surprise you or scare you Ig

Me: okay then.

I wait and watch her walk out of the hotel quickly. She seemed worried. "Are you sure you don't wanna stay here while I go get your crutches?" She asked, getting in the car.

"Yes, of course I'm sure. I don't care if my mom beats me more, I need them. I'll wait in the car." I said, getting nervous.
"That's not something a normal family should worry about." Min said, starting the car and driving to my old house. I stayed in the car while Min went in to get my crutches. She comes back out, my mom following behind her. "Hey mom." I said, not looking at her.
"Why didn't you tell me you were out of the hospital Lydia?" She asked  angry.
"Because I didn't wanna get beat by you anymore. Bye." I said, and rolled up the car window. "Min, go go now." I said, starting to cry as I saw my dad chasing after the car with a gun in his hand, but we turned the corner and my dad had given up, so we were safe. For now.
The rest of the car ride was quiet, except for the music in the background, and once we got back, I tried the crutches out, and got used to them pretty quickly. Justin helped me inside, opening doors and stuff, and once we went to the room, I changed, and Min did my makeup. I looked into the mirror and saw a different person. "Whoa, is that me?" I whispered, surprised. I smiled, shocked. I leave the bathroom, and Justin was shocked.
"Wow, you look beautiful." He said, smiling, which caused me to blush.
"Thanks." I said, smiling back. "Let's get this thing over with." I said, reluctantly. We went out to the car, and Justin drove us to the apartment, and we went up, but no one was in the apartment, and the lights were off. "Come on, this is stupid." I said, disappointed, but then the lights turned on, revealing my friends and Raegan, which surprised me. "Hi guys." I said, quietly.
I headed for the drinks and grabbed a beer, and hung out.

Third person pov

Lydia was very drunk, and Justin was hanging out with her, not drinking because he was the designated driver, and Lydia kisses Justin. He was shocked at first, but melted into the kiss, and kissed back, their tongues intertwining, and dancing with each other, and Justin moved to her neck, leaving a trail of kisses down her jawline to her collar bone. She was moaning, and breathing harsh, shallow breaths. "Justin, we're at a party. Everyone's staring." She said, nervous, and pushes him off gently, and she was right. People were either recording, or watching and they were embarrassed. "Delete that shit!!" Justin said, angry. He storms out, and goes back to the hotel, checking social media, and the video was everywhere already. "I'm sorry Lydia." He said, and started crying.

Sooo, it's been a while since I updated last and I am so sorry!!! I have been so busy with school and stuff, I kinda forgot about this book!! I'll try to update more often, I promise!!
