Y/N POV
"Jessie, I want you to grab the chips and meet me at Jack's place, see you in a minute!" I yell through the house, not waiting for a reply before shutting the door.

I walk out into the hallway, and shiver from the winter air. What a good way to start the New Year! I think, completely sarcastically.

I pause at the door.....This shouldn't be so hard, we're just friends. Wait, do I knock or just walk in? Biting my lip, I knock, with my foot, three times on the door before hearing Jack's voice say, "Come in! It's open!" And mumbling something after that.

"What was that last bit?" I say pushing the door open with my foot.

"Uh, nothing! Oh sorry, I didn't know that your hands were full!" He says grabbing the soda and dip from my hands.

"No, it's all right, it's not like you have x-ray vision." I joke, Jack looking at my with a blank expression on his face, "You don't have x-ray vision....do you?"

"Maaaaayyyyybe! By the way, cute underwear!" He laughed. And walked to the kitchen.

"Jerk!"

"Sup losers!" Jessie said, pushing the door open.

"Oh great, she's here!" I taunt.

"Haha, very funny, it's not like I pay half of your rent or anything." She threatens.

"You're right, I'll shut up...... love you!"

"Alright girls, as of now it's 10 o'clock, and the ball will drop I'm two hours, so let's get ready!" Jack said, as if he were a cheesy news reporter, earning a laugh out of bother of us. "So, I was thinking that I could maybe, possibly have you guys make a video with me, with your consent of course."

"Depends.....what kind of video?" Jessie asked, wiggling her eyebrows as if to suggest something.

"EEEWWW gross" Jack and I exclaimed simultaneously.

Cackling, Jessie plopped down on the couch, "But seriously, what kind of video?"

As Jack started explaining, I zoned out into my own thoughts, It's New Years Eve, should I try to kiss him when the ball drops? Will he try to kiss me? Am I over thinking this? Probably, but I do want to try.....

"Y/N? Hello? Are you listening?" Jack said, waving a hand in front of my face.

"Oh uh, yeah I agree will do that!" I blurt out, pretending to listen.

"So you're ok with us jumping of the roof into a hay bale?" Jack joked, barely keeping a straight face.

"What? No! Ok fine, I wasnt listening, but just explain it again."

Jack's POV (almost midnight)

We were all having fun making the video and being silly, but I just couldn't stop staring at Y/N, she was beautiful, and her laugh was just an amazing thing to hear. Wow, I like her a lot, maybe I should go for it and kiss her at midnight.

"That does it for this video and I will see you dudes, IN THE NEXT VIDEOOOOOO!" I end the video, the girls still laughing behind me. I turn around and see the midnight countdown turn to one minute, it's now or never. "Hey guys, it only one minute until the ball drops!"

"Oh! I'll get the noise maker thingys!" Jessie yelled, standing up and sprinting out of the room.

Y/N POV

The count down started and I counted along with it, I have to do it, this could be my only chance, I've got this.

Before we can say happy new year, I lean towards Jack and to my surprise, he leans in too, we look at each other, shocked for a split second, but then we just let it happen, it felt like it was supposed to be that way, like we've been waiting for each other for all of our lives, it was perfect.
