Alex POV:

Is life fair?

Is this a joke?

No

It never is

I was dead a couple of days ago, free from the terror of this world, I swear I was somewhere better

I was in a place full of white light that I could see nothing yet...I could see everything

It was the best feeling I have ever felt

Then it just had to drag me back to hell. Before I knew it, I was running from Blackwatch troops and helicopters that kept shooting me with everything they got

The bullets, missiles, and grenades did nothing to me as my body simply regenerated at lightning speed, I evaded them and slowly discovered my abilities as well as my origins

But above all, I was concentrated on finding who the hell did this to me. That person will pay with all of god's wrath at my hands

I went over a long journey against time, Blackwatch, and the Blacklight virus to discover the bastard that did this to me

Helped by my sister Diana, and others who aided me to find what I needed, we tore through everything that blocked our path.

I fought monstrosities in the form of humans and flesh beasts that wanted to kill me...but nothing could do it. How I wished I could be dead

In the end, I found what I was looking for after defeating Cross, Elizabeth Greene, the Supreme hunter, the monsters, the super soldiers, and everything that kept NYZ in containment

The man I was looking for to kill, was me

Me

Fucking me

All that to find out I condemned myself to a hell in this indestructible flesh that keeps me trap forever in the cruel reality

Me

After saving the city being blown to bite-size me, I became the next meal for a crow, sadly for him I absorbed him from the inside out to rebuild myself to full height

I walked away from there safely watching the leftover carnage of NYZ. Literally it was a ghost town that reflected the humanity I had left inside

Everywhere I looked it was desolate, destroyed, or painted red from blood and littered bodies

I didn't even use my powers to run up buildings or wreck stuff in my way, instead I just walked through the infested streets of the red zone to the dirty slums of the yellow zone

Today I have barely arrived in the green zone wearing a cloak over my usual regenerative clothing, seeing my feet going nowhere

This zone was different from the others, people talking and socializing in a way that made me feel strange. They were not fighting or dying but laughing at meaningless things that I knew from a past life

I kept looking down and went the opposite way of the crowd going to freedom

Then they talked about me.

A creepy man from the yellow zone most said while observing me, of course I was hunching over but if they just knew--they would've of ran for their lives. I ignored them and focused at the task I had in hand, which was to leave this hell.

*BEEP--BEEP--BEEP*

"Ah shit" I grumbled

The crowd around me dispersed hearing me curse.
