Lead that leads

Lucy was glistening with sweat

Her eyes blinked wide open as she felt a strong cold current pass over her. The place was dark and filled with a mist, she could see barely as it was dark like after a sunset but even more creepily

Placing her hands down she realized it was a swamp like enviroment. This place fired her awareness strong signals to keep attention at a all time high by suddenly standing right up and analyzed the place

She awoke her senses completely out of the sleep numbing them, feeling the rigidness of having overused her body, mostly her legs hurt

Her voice felt hoarse too. It was a sense of deja-vu that only her muscles knew and another organ felt it close to home

"Alex! Where are you! Anyone!"

Hearing nothing, she began to walk in the direction of what seemed like a bright smugged light up ahead. It felt right in following that light, so she did and sped up a tad bit to get to a possible safe place from all this darkness

She bobbed her head side to side as she went forward trying to get a hint of something of someone "Alex! If you're hearing me, this isn-"

"Lucy!"

Skidding to an absolute halt, she turned to the light and gazed at it wifh wide eyes

"Lucy come on! We are getting late for-"

"I wanna get some ice cream Kouta"

Lucy's eyes blinked ever so slowly, then when she opened them she could not believe the scene

Just infront of the light, four silhouettes of human figures shadowed over it and the resemblance just made her shock even more painful. Tears were coming from the ends of her eyes as well as a tender smile

"You're going to make us wait here or what? Were going to the Zoo today silly!"

That sentence did it. She widened her mouth and the feelings burned her eyes to give way to the myriad of tears

"Mayu...Nana...Y-yuka an-and a-and-" through whispered sobs she remembered them. It was her family

"Let's go Lucy!" The four of them cheered her on

"KOUTA!!! KOUTAAAAA!!!" She lost it and ran to the light as fast as her legs could hold, feeling as the best thing she could do

Voices she so desperately wanted to place a face and meaning

She knew them!

Glee tore through her face like a sunshine, the tears glistening the view in front of her. Getting closer by the square inch, she wanted to jump at them and hug them till the next day. She wanted to tell them how much she missed every single one of them while trapped in that cell, let them know that without them she would of killed herself or worse. She wanted to scold them for leaving her behind and planning to go to the Zoo without her. She wanted..

Lucy coughed blood like a projectile, action that made her trip and fall to the floor

She scuddled a little to the floor and with a thud felt the hole made by a bullet in her back. More especifically her spine

Resulting in..

"Gyaa-HAAAAAAHHH!!"

She squirmed in the ground, turning back and forth feeling the pain of being paralyzed from the waist down. She tried to stand up but a creeping instinct told her she hurt fatally "My legs... My damned legs can't move!?"
