Skyhold

Things went smoothly once the Herald had awoken. He got up much quicker than anyone had expected and forced the Inquisition to listen and not fight over idiotic suggestions. The advisors began to listen to reason and calmed down slowly, making arguments become agreements. Though, they had no clue where to go to next. That was before Solas proposed an idea. An idea that nearly saved them from hypothermia (yet the unlucky few did not make it...).

Skyhold.

A castle that was beautiful and tall, hidden in the mountains. Better yet, it was stable. More so stable then Haven ever was.

There, Alexander was given the title "Inquisitor". He was taken aback at first, yet he agreed, exclaiming that a Mage were to lead this group, to prove that they were actually worth something.

A week has passed since Skyhold was found and the Herald deemed the Inquisitor.

Alexander was restless. He wandered the castle walls, dragging his fingers across the stones. Many folk were asleep, resting to the quiet sounds of the night. The few that were awake were the ones who were busy or were just as restless as the elf.

Alexander leaned on the wall, closing his eyes and breathing deeply. He opened them and gazed out into the terrain. The mountains were snowy white, yet a fog surrounded them, concealing them from the world. He sighed, smiling gently.

"Breathtaking. Climbing the  mountains, a sheet of white, holding them back from being roamed and cared. Nature prospering silently though the twilight."

Alexander stiffened and turned quickly, only to see a pale boy sitting on the edge of the wall, playing with his fingers as he stared out into the nothing.

"By the maker, Cole, you need to at least say hello before you begin to mutter non sense. Scared me half to death..." Alexander huffed, slightly from annoyance but also from relief.

"Sorry." Cole said quietly, fidgeting slightly before talking once more. "I had just wanted to say something. That might ease you." Alexander furrowed his brows and looked over Cole, perplexed at the statement. "What do you mean?"

"You're nervous, anxious, and sick. They care, you know? They argue, yes but it's never caused by you. And He DOES care. He does hope you do good and knows you will." Cole said, his eyes glancing to look at the Inquisitor but quickly went back to stare at the mountains. Alexander looked as well, taking in what Cole had said before he questioned something...

"Wait-Who's this 'he'?"  Alexander said, looking back to the spirit, but unluckily, he had vanished. "Well...nice talk Cole." Alexander mumbled quietly, used to this disappearing act. He looked back out, sighing softly. He had an idea of who "he" was, but he wasn't entirely sure. Hopefully it was the person he was MOST stressed about.

But maybe it wasnt?

Maybe it was another?

Yet it felt like...

The Inquisitor sighed and stared up at the stars, thinking quietly to himself. He closed his eyes and whispered  a small prayer, holding his hands together tightly. As he finished, he let out a long sigh and turned away.
