5. Touch Me

The rest of the day at school was very much according to what one could predict. AJ was carried to the nurse's room and then was allowed to go home and rest whereas Roman was called to the principal's office in between their class hours. Seth was very much worried about Roman as he stared at Roman's seat right next to him which was now empty. Seth was a good student and he always enjoyed science lectures but this time he wasn't really paying attention to it as he was only staring at the empty seat next to him. The front door opened slightly and Roman's head popped in. "May I come in Mrs. Young?" asked Roman to their science teacher.

Seth looked at Roman standing at the door, a big smile came to his face. "You may." smiled Mrs. Renee Young, a beautiful blonde haired lady who was a superb lecturer in science. Roman smiled back at her and quickly made his way towards his seat near Seth.

Mrs. Young continued with the lecture whereas Seth watched Roman as he sat down relaxed and tried catching his breath. "What happened at the principal's room?" Seth whispered to Roman.

"Nothing much," replied Roman, pulling out a fresh page on his notebook and writing down the heading of the topic that was being taught to them.

"What do you mean by 'nothing much'? Are you serious?" gasped Seth.

"I just have to stay for an extra period.  I wonder if they seriously consider it as a punishment. Tch." said Roman.

"Is that it? I'm gonna stay with you here in the school then," said Seth, his eyes growing bigger with excitement.

"Shush, you're going home."

"I'm not. I can stay with you right here!'

"Look Seth, you live with your parents. You must go home or else they'll be worried."

"They won't!" Seth replied quickly. "Moreover I'm an 18 year old guy. They know I'm old enough to take care of myself."

"Okay." nodded Roman. "You can stay."

Seth smiled as Roman allowed him to stay with him which means they'd be all alone in the school building for an hour. He couldn't just stop staring at Roman while Roman was quickly taking down his notes. His profile was so beautiful and Seth even found the way he was holding his pen adorable. Roman was concentrated on his work whereas Seth thought it'd real fun to bug him. He grinned at the idea and then said, "Can I try your pen?"

Roman stopped writing and looked at Seth. "Oh, s..sure," stammered Roman before he handed Seth his pen. Seth took it from Roman's hand and wrote down something on his notebook. "You like it?" asked Roman.

"I like it very much!" said Seth happily. "It works so well and guess what, it doesn't hurt my fingers."

"Yeah. Usually your fingers hurt when you've so much to write, don't they?" asked Roman.

"It hurts as hell!" groaned Seth giving Roman his pen back.

"No, you can have it," said Roman not taking it back.

"It's fine, Roro. I just wanted to see how it works," said Seth.

"What's mine is all yours. You can have it." said Roman.

Roman and Seth had to be in the drama club during the last period. Naomi divided the male choir into three different groups of five. "Okay," said Naomi. "Before we start, I need to tell you, we're doing this cause we need a lead male singer."

She then sang a little tune in her flawless singing voice and then pointed towards the group Seth was present in, asking them to imitate it. Seth and the rest of the boys in the group sang the same tune in chorus and did really well. "Good job!" Naomi smiled proudly. She then asked the rest of the two groups to do the same and they did equally good. Naomi then sang the same tune right after, but in a higher pitch. Seth gulped with nervousness thinking whether he'd be able to imitate it this time or not. Naomi first asked the group Seth was present in to imitate her. Seth took a deep breath before his group started to sing. He closed his eyes as he hit the high note along with the other boys in his group. They were well coordinated and they did really well. The other two groups were asked to do the same. They more or less could imitate Naomi but Naomi seemed to be very much impressed with Seth and his group.
