12. Memories That I Never Can Replace

The car stopped in front of Roman's house and Roman got out of the car. He walked over to the other side of the car and opened the door for Seth to find that Seth had fallen asleep. Roman put his arms under Seth and carefully picked him up in his arms, taking him out of the car. He thanked the lady before he went into his house, carrying Seth in his arms.

Seth awoke and opened his eyes a bit as Roman carried him into the bathroom. "Can you... stand up on your own now?" asked Roman as he looked down at Seth who had his face pressed against his chest.

Seth looked around slowly before he said, "Yes, I think I can."

Roman carefully placed Seth down so that Seth was standing on his own. He still had Seth's body wrapped in his arms as they stood close to each other while the tub was getting filled up with warm water. Roman knew Seth was feeling sore and he wanted to stay close to him as long as he could.  "I can wash your wound... if you want me to," stuttered Roman.

"I'll be fine by myself, Roro. I can use the tub and have a hot bath. I'm sure I'll be feeling better after that." smiled Seth.

"Oh, Seth. I'm so sorry I wasn't there when you had to go through all these. I love you and I always want to be there for you." said Roman, pulling Seth into another hug, making sure he wasn't pressing onto any of his wounds.

"That's okay, Roro. It's not your fault as I wanted to walk home by myself." said Seth, rubbing his palm over Roman's cheek gently. They snuggled each other until the tub was ready. Roman left the bathroom right after, letting Seth take a shower inside.

As soon as Seth had taken a shower, Roman made Seth lay down on the bed so that he could take a look at all of his wounds. He dressed his wounds carefully with ointments and bandages wherever necessary while Seth lay relaxed on the bed. Seth's stomach was in pain since Gallows and Anderson had showered his gut and his ribs with hard punches. He tried to bear with the pain as Roman applied the ointments over them. "Ah!" Seth let out a short shriek. "Oh, I'm sorry, it's fine. They just sting a bit."

Roman looked at the dark bruise Seth had got right below his ribs. He looked more like he was glaring at it. "Hey," said Seth, getting worried.

"Styles... Gallows... Anderson. You're dead meat as I'm gonna make you pay for it." hissed Roman behind his clenched jaws.

"Roman, no! Will you please listen to me? I'll tell you what happened but you have to remain calm. Only then, I could tell you the whole thing." said Seth, sounding a little bit rushed as he was worried looking at Roman's intensified anger. Roman stared back at Seth to find Seth staring at him, all worried and scared. Roman knew he'd just go and make AJ and his evil friends pay for their deeds but presently, he needed to comfort Seth and let him have a peaceful rest for the night.

Roman then put the covers over Seth before he turned off the lights and switched on the bed light. He then got into the bed and lay down right beside Seth. "Now, tell me." he said as he placed an arm around Seth's waist, so that Seth gets more comfortable opening up to him.

"It was almost pitch black inside the car when I got in and was beaten up by AJ's friends. And AJ was the one driving the car as I heard his voice from the driver's seat. I tried my best to push them away from me but they just aimed low and kicked me so that I stop moving. So I just stopped fighting back and sat still as they kept hitting me more and more. And do you know what AJ said before they tossed me out of the car? Reigns, you messed up with the wrong person." narrated Seth whereas Roman listened to Seth with anger building up inside him. He knew he could destroy AJ at any moment.

"Do you get it now, Roman, why I didn't let them take their names to the police!? They beat me up as a payback for how you had beaten him the other day. If AJ gets caught by the police, I'm damn sure he'd mention about how you had beaten him up until he bled, the other day in school. That was the reason why he beat me up, Roman." cried Seth.
