14. Fly Into The Open Window Of My Heart

For the next five hours or so, Roman and Seth just had fun either by watching movies on Roman's tab or by singing songs from the play they're about to perform.

The dusk had just started to fall by the time Roman said he wanted to buy something from the grocery shop. "Are there like too many things? I can accompany you to the store and help you carry them on our way back." said Seth, sitting on the bed with Roman's laptop on his lap that had a Star Wars movie playing on it.

"There are not many things. Stay home and rest, I won't be long. The shop is in this block itself." said Roman as he stood beside the bed tying his hair up in a neat man bun.

"But I wanna go out as I feel stuffy in here." said Seth with pleading eyes.

"Umm... Alright, lets go on a walk. You can get ready and in the meanwhile, I'll visit the store and when I return we can go out together." said Roman.

"Okie dokey, Penelope." said Seth excitedly before he got down the bed in order to get dressed up. Roman left home right then. "I promise I won't be long! Love you!" he said as he walked out of the door.

"Love you too!" responded Seth from the bedroom.

Roman walked out of the main gate with a smile on his face as he took a deep breath inhaling the cool evening breeze. As soon as he turned left and walked three steps ahead, he found a familiar looking person standing close to the boundary wall of his house, staring at it. Roman tilted his head, confused and a bit scared. The other person was a few inches shorter than Roman and was wearing a woolen cap. Roman cleared his throat making the latter turn and look at him. Roman stared at the person's face carefully before he recognized him to be his old best friend AJ. What surprised him the most was that he could not find AJ's long hair touching his shoulders anymore. He had cut his hair, maybe that was the reason why he was wearing a cap. And also because his face was clean shaved, he looked just like how he used to look like during his mid teens.

He was holding a card or something in his hand but Roman took no notice of it and spoke in a low voice, "What brings you here?" He clenched his fist tight as anger built up inside him.

"Even I don't know what brings me here. I just felt like coming to your place," said AJ keeping his voice low.

"What?" said Roman letting out a soft laugh. "You said you beat Seth up in order to make me pay for hitting you at school the other day. Aren't you done yet? What brings you here again? What are your intentions, you bastard!?" Roman yelled loud.

Roman tried his best to keep himself from hitting AJ. He didn't want Seth to be hurt again. But soon he failed as anger overpowered all of his thoughts when AJ started to speak. "Grow up, idiot." said AJ plainly. "I came here as I thought its time to be a man, an adult. I came here to resolve things with you. But looks like you aren't ready. You still are a rebellious young boy, losing your patience and wanting a fight everytime. I think I must leave now as only men understand men."

"This jerk!" hissed Roman as his face went red out of utter anger. He walked straight towards AJ and punched him hard on his face. AJ fell back, dropping the card onto the ground. Roman grabbed AJ by his shirt and pulled him close. "Does that make you a man? Are you telling me what manliness is, you immature jerk!?" he shouted on AJ's face. "Just because you don't like the one who I wanna be with, you turned on me and also tortured Seth behind my back even though he's innocent and did no harm to you. And now you suddenly wanna be a man? Apologize to Seth for what you've done. That's how you can be a man, you scumbag!"

"Stop it, Roman!" Roman heard a voice behind him. He turned back, still not letting go of AJ's shirt to find Seth standing at the main gate of his house. "S.. Seth...-" breathed Roman, as he found Seth swallow hard and his eyes turn red. Seth came walking close to Roman and AJ, fixing his glare upon Roman.
