15. My Heart Leads Me To You

"Allen Jones," said Roman. "That's what AJ stands for."

Seth and Roman were on their way to Seth's house by bus and were seated next to each other somewhere at the back.

"Really? But if Jones is his last name, what about Styles?" asked Seth curiously.

"No. That's just something he wants himself to be called as." laughed Roman. "You know how intimidating he is, everyone in this school is bound to listen to him."

"So doesn't everyone know what his real name is?" gasped Seth.

"Everyone knows what his real name is. I guess it has only been 2 weeks or so since you've joined and AJ has been cutting class a lot recently, that's why you didn't know what AJ stood for." said Roman.

"Ahh... " groaned Seth and laid his head against the back rest, folding his arms. "Everything seems so strange to me. I just hope he stays strong without his dad..."

"Yeah. I hope the same. Poor soul." sighed Roman as he also laid his head against the back rest right after.

Roman's heart was beating hard out of nervousness as they got down the bus at the next stoppage. Seth clasped Roman's hand in his and looked at him. "Let's go," whispered Seth.

Roman stood still staring at the ground. "What happened, Roro? Is everything alright?" asked Seth out of concern.

"Shall I just go back to my house? I think your mom wouldn't approve of us being friends. I mean, look at me, I look like a gangster. My one whole arm is tattooed and I've got long hair." sighed Roman and looked up at Seth.

"Do you think you're the only one with all those badass looks? Are you looking at this!?" said Seth pointing at his own hair. "Even my hair is somewhat long and half of it is dyed blonde. Do you think my mom would have allowed me to do that if she hated badass looking guys?"

"Well, it looks pretty much emo." said Roman scratching the back of his head. "You do look like a bad guy but I never thought of you as one as you're so innocent."

Seth chuckled lightly and then linked his arm with Roman. "Don't be afraid. My mom knows you already. She'll be happy to see you."

Seth then walked into the colony having his arm linked with Roman's whereas Roman followed Seth as he had mustered him enough. The two kept walking until they reached a two storeyed house with white walls and a roof of nice brick red colour. Seth separated his hand from Roman's and walked through the gate. He then went closer to the front door to find it still locked from outside.

"Has she not arrived yet?" asked Roman as he slowly came walking through the gate.

"It's strange. She hasn't. Anyways, let's go inside for now." said Seth, starting to get worried. He then took the keys out of his backpack and then got it into the lock to open it. As he was just opening the lock, they heard sounds of someone walking on sandals behind them at the gate. Seth and Roman turned around to find a lady enter through the gate staring back at them confusingly. She wore a long black overcoat and a pair of jeans and had short blonde hair.

"Seth, is that you?" asked the woman staring at both Roman and Seth with eagerness. Her eyes were big just like those of Seth's.

"Mom!" gasped Seth.

"Where were you? Why are you returning home late from school?" she spoke in a high pitched voice as he walked closer to them.

"I was at his house, mom. He is my friend." said Seth pointing at Roman. "My only friend in school. He's Roman, if you remember him."

"Ah!" said Seth's mother looking at Roman's face and grinning excitedly. "Roman! How have you been? You were so little when I saw you last time but now you're all so grown up."
