I run up the stairs to my apartment with tears in my eyes.
On the way up, I took a pill from my medication and then got to the door.
I opened it as fast as I could and searched for Barney.

'He should be home!'

"Red? Red! What is it?"
I started coughing and wheezing.
I ran up to Barney in the doorway hallway and hugged him so tightly.

"Hey.. Shhh. What is it baby boy?"
"I-.. I have such bad news."

Silence.

"What is it?"
I coughed.

"Barney..
I have lung cancer."

Silence again.
...

"What?"
"Lung cancer.. Yes.. I have lung cancer..."

"H-how!? You never smoked! Or been near any!"
"I don't know!"
"Is it curable?"

I nodded.
"We caught it before it went to stage 2."
"Oh yeah.. if it went past stage 2, it wouldn't be curable.."

"We should tell the others."
"Tomorrow Red.. What do you have to cure it? What are the choices?"

"Surgery. With chemo or radiation. Or both. But Doctor Shing doubts I'll need both or any. Just the surgery."

"When's the surgery? And are we able to afford it?"
"I don't know for both.. He said either next month or the month next."

"Oh my god.. My YouTube Sensation has cancer.."
"Am I going to die?"

"Why would you think that? Of course not! It's curable!"
"But.. My weight. My blood. My body. Will it stand during surgery?"
