Chapter One
My name is Aspen Summers. I thought I was a normal girl. I seem like a normal girl! I go to a normal school, go to normal classes, but I'm not normal. I'm neglected. Hated. Different. But why? I can barley do anything right. I can't participate in P.E. because of strange pains and feelings if anxiety I have. I'm bullied. No one cares about me. I'm dispised. There's only one person who showed that he cared for me, and he's... gone. He's gone somewhere far away where I can never reach him.
And it's my fault.
Because my my stupid head pains, feelings of anxiety, and sometimes even illusions, he was taken away from me. He was hit by a car to save me. I want to be okay. I do! I just... I just...
"Aspen!" my "master", Mrs. Leewen, cries. She's supposed to be my foster mother, but no. I'm pretty much her servant. No, strike that. I'm her slave. I'm like Cinderella and she's the Evil Step Mother. I even have the Evil Step Sisters! But not two. Four.
"Coming ma'am!" I cry back. I jump out of bed, and take no time to even comb my hair before rushing into my master's room. Big mistake."Goodness, Aspen!" Mrs. Leewen gasps. "You look like you were raised in a zoo! Brush your hair, now."
"Yes, ma'am," I sighed.
"And take a shower. You smell like garbage."Well maybe that's what I am, I say silently while walking out of the room.
"Hey Aspen," she said my name with so much venom in her tone that it made me sick.
"What do you want, Vivida?" I asked.
"What I want, is for you to clean up my room."
"Now?"
"Yeah now! You're so pathetic!"
"But your mom said-"
"I don't care! You're cleaning up my room."
"Whatever you say, Vivida."Vivida, I have to admit, is beautiful. She has long blonde hair, emerald green eyes, and all the designer clotheing in the world.
I walk into Vivida's room, and Marina, Vivida's identical twin is sitting on her own canopy bed."What are you doing in here?" she asks, saying "you" in the same tone Vivida said my name.
"Vivida told me to clean up in here," I reply.
"Ew, no. Not while you look like... that. You look and smell like the du-"
Her words are cut off.Thousands of voices start screaming as loud as they can in my head, jolting unbearable pain through my body. I collapse.
"Aspen? Aspen listen."
Who is that? Is it...
"I promise, you'll be-"He can't finish. My hearing and sight fills with static.
"Aspen, stop!" his words that tried to save me repeat in my head over, and over, and over, until I can barley breathe.
"We have to live with her?"
"Look at poor little Aspen in her own little world of suffering! She deserves it!"
"Ew! Say away from me rat!"The mean things I've heard swim trough my brain, all tormenting me at once. I can't take it anymore!
"MAKE IT STOP!" I scream, hoping someone will save me. But no one does. I curl up into a ball right there, and fall unconscious.
