Chapter Five

"Hm," I say, watching the girl. "Send me one of the Lost ones." My servant nods, then leaved. One of the Lost Souls comes in, accompanied by my servant.

"You see the girl?" I ask, pointing at the stream at my feat. Her image is reflected in the water. Her pale, ghostly skin, her flat, lifeless brown hair, her almost glowing blue-green eyes. "I want her dead. But that's no easy task. I planted something in her that gives her strange headaches and visions, just to carry out that wish. I also took away the thing she cared about the most. Her sweet Akira. Speaking of Akira..."

I snap my fingers at the servant, and he rushes to get my prisoner. After he finished hauling the chained boy into the room, I continue speaking. "I want you to hang around the girl. Bother the girl, hurt the girl, poke the girl, speak to the girl, injure the girl. Do whatever you can do to get her dead. I don't care how you get her dead. You can make her go mad or cause her to bleed to death. But no matter what you do, I. Want. Her. Dead."

"Don't hurt Aspen!" the boy cries. I shoot a look at my servant, who halls the boy from the room.

"Don't touch her, Kurai! She's innocent! She had no controll over her ancestors!" the boy struggles, which delays him enough to let those words escape his mouth. I brush him off.

"Go now," I say. "This'll be fun."
