A walk outside of school. Not bad a first day. Nothing good, but nothing bad. Which for me, is great.
If that makes any sense."Sheesh, you walk fast"
Ladies and gentlemen, this could be none other than, Cameron Davison.
"You've been avoiding me all day."
I don't answer.
"Anyways, are you coming"
"Where?" I say spinning around.
"Your first high school party,"
"Uh, hell no."
"Well either that, or your walking 4 miles home."
Shit. I didn't think of that.
"I'm your ride, and no way am I missing one of Kieran's parties."
I shoot him a quick glare and open the car door.
"This will be fun. I promise" he whispers, flashing me a smile.10pm
"Okay, stay close to me as much as possible. No drinking. Yet. Hmm.. can't think of anything else. No-"
"Trust me, I will try to calm myself." I say. Note the sarcasm.
We drive up to the house, which was not to hard to find, given you could hear the music blaring from two blocks away.
As we get out, a few guys on the roof wave hello, just before they push a guy off and into the bushes down below.
Pretty tame, huh.
There is a dishwasher out on the lawn, and a guy passed out with a shower-cream beard sprayed on him.
We are walking into the party, when a muscular guy stops us.
"Cam, ma' man, where you been?" Then he turns to me.
"This ya' new girlfriend?"
"She my sister."
He gives Cam a weird look, but doesn't say anything.
"Hey, I'll catch you later, drinks are over there."
But before he says anything, a guy runs into me, pushing me to the ground.
"Watch where you're going!" The guy spits.
"Fuck you" I retort
But I realise something.
Where's Cam?I spend half an hour looking for him, even going down the street but nothing.
Finally giving up, I drag my self towards the food table and grab a coke.I can't help but smile at the song coming on, and feel the urge to dance.
You see, dancing is the one thing that makes me feel weightless, like I'm on the moon. I feel my foot tapping.
Then a hand reaches out.
I look up.
"Care to join me?" Says a short guy. He is very fashionable, all white jeans, hipster glasses and a lavender sweater. By the looks he's getting, I'm assuming he's not very popular.
Most situations I would kindly decline.
But not this time.
Instead, I grin like there is no tomorrow.
"I thought you'd never ask"
----------------------------------------------
Oh. My. God.
How great was that? And for those asking, they have never met. It's not like he's her long lost cousin or something.
But enough about that. I wanna give a shoutout to a reader, @lolkrissy . Just going to say, you guys slay. And by you guys I mean the eight people who read chapter one. Family starts small right? Anyways,
Love ya'll🌺
