Hi, it's Tess from middle school, feel like getting together and catching up?
Fuck no.
I think in my head.
Tess went to elementary and middle school with me. She made every day hell. Wether it was my shoes, or my hair, she would find something to make fun of me for.
She was always amazing at sports. She was the prettiest blah blah blah.
Which is why I couldn't think of a thing I'd rather do than, 'catch up' with her.
I text her
No sorry, can't this weekend
Really?
Yep
A few minutes later...
Do you still go to book club, and wear glasses?
No, actually, I'm pretty popular
Do you have a boyfriend?
Yes.
Prove it.
How?
Saturday. 10 o' clock your house.
I told you I'm busy.
Really?
My house it is.----------------------------------------------
Saturday. 10 o' clock. My house."This was a bad idea."
"I tried telling you that he when you asked me to be your fake boyfriend." Cameron says starting to pace.
"It's only for an hour or four."
He rolls his eyes.
"The things I do f-"
The bell rings. I open the door, to be greeted by the smell of over-priced perfume and too much hairspray.
"Olivia! How nice to see you" She hugs me a bit to tightly, then pushing me out the way when spotting Cam. He's pretty good looking so I'm used to girls swooning over him.
"This must be Thomas!"
I can't help but snort from across the room.
"It's Cameron." I say. He mouths me a why did you drag me into this? Kinda look.
"Right, Cameron. Anyways, this is Chris." An athletic looking guy gets out the car.
"Hey," He says.
"Cameron, would you show me pool area. Chris, keep Liv company."
Whiteout even waiting for an answer, Tess quickly whisked him off and leaves me and Chris.
He takes a seat next to me. We sit in silence for a minute or so. Why does he have a Rolex? Why does everyone here have a Rolex? This is Hollywood. People throw money away on watches.
My thoughts are interrupted by him staring. His fingers trail onto my back.
"What are you doing?"
He ignores me and continues. His grip gets tighter and he puts his lips on mine.
"Stop it!"
I start to cry.
"What the fuck are you doing! Get off her!"
Cameron pulls me away and punches him.
"Dude chill. She wanted it."
I gawp in disbelief.
"I think you guys should leave." I say.
Tess starts to frown.
"Well me and Ca-"
"It wasn't a request."Once they're gone I grab my phone and go to my bedroom. I hear Emma come home. They start to whisper.
"She okay?"
"It's been kind of a rough day. I'm gonna go speak to her."
I can just imagine her giving that disapproving glance she always does.
"Knock knock" he says.
"Hey"
"I'm sorry."
"For what?" I mumble
"For not coming back sooner. What an asshole."
We sit in silence. Looking over the city. Isn't it funny, all the strangers we see have a story a past. But we don't see that. And they don't us.
"I'm let you have some thinking time."
"Okay" I sigh. He starts to walk away.
"Wait, one more thing"
He turns.
"Thank you" I whisper.
He smiles. And just like that, the whole universe just comes into focus.-------------------------------------------------------
Awww, what a nice ending to such a serous chapter. I thought that just had to be written. This was meant to be more of a funny chapter at first. Mainly focusing on the fact that Cameron and Liv were fake dating. But then I had this idea.
On a more positive note. I stopped writing for six months (that's not the positive bit) to come back to 408 reads. WHAT THE FREAKING HECK!
Love ya'll
