We stumble out of the house in fits of laughter.
"Who knew, a total stranger could be so experienced when dancing to 'juju on dat beat'" he laughs.
I grin.
We are silent for the next minute .
"So what made you walk over up a complete stranger and ask them to a dance?"
He shrugs. "You looked like you wanted to dance, so why not?"
Suddenly,
I realise the time.
"Shit! Shit, shit!"
"What?"
"My step-brother will be looking for me, uh... I have to go. I gave you my number right, text me"
But I'm already running towards the house.

A cold hand stops me.
"Liv?"
"Oh my god, Cam, I'm so sorry I-"
"It's fine" His face softens and he breaths out.
"You're here now, let's go home."
There are bags under his eyes. I can tell he was worried. Either that or the fact that it's 2am. One of the two.

In the car ride home I explain what happened after we separated.
"So what was his name again?"
"Anthony."
"Wait, Anthony. I know him."
"What if it's a different person, Anthony's a pretty common name."
"Does he dress better than anyone you know?"
"Yes."
"Huge statement glasses?"
"Yes."
His eyebrows furrow.
"That's the most bullied kid in school. Anthony Dermont."
"Oh uh,"
"The whole football uses him as their punching bag, cause' he's gay."
"That's horrible!"

You see, I was never bullied, but I was always in the background. It's safest not to speak up. Just to watch.

"Well your best bet, is to stay away. Or you will be the next target. There will be lots of other great people.
"Well maybe that's not what I want to do." I say
"You would have my back, right?"
"Yeah."
I smile but he looks worried. I just ignore him, and brush it off.
Out of the blue he says, "I want you to meet some people"
"Who?"
"You'll see."
He smiles, smugly, clearly enjoying knowing something that I don't.

10am that weekend
We drive up to what looks like the biggest house I've ever seen. Grand pillars and statues fill the area. We drive up to a gate and a guard stops us.
"Name?"
"Cameron Davison."
The gate opens.
"Not bad, huh"
"I've seen better." I reply, sarcastically, not turning around.
The car halts to stop.
I look down to see a peacock. A freaking peacock."
"Ugh, it's the bird again"
"The usual. Just ya'know almost killing a peacock." I say, to which he shrugs.
We finally get to the house, and get out of the car.
Cam knocks, and almost immediately, it opens.
But by a butler.
I look at Cam, raising one eyebrow.
Before I can admire the gorgeous paintings (yes, I am a true nerd at heart) a guy, blond hair, walks in.
"Hey, Alex, haven't seen you in a while. This is my sister."
I still don't know why he calls me that so quickly. It's only been a week. I don't mind, it's actually kind of nice. I think.
"Liv, right? I'm Alex. You haven't met the other two, have you?"
"Other two?"
"I guess that's a no."
Perfectly timed, two others come up.
Pointing to the first one he says,
"That's Dylan"
Turning around,
"That's Sam."
I already tell I'm going to like them.

A freaking peacock.
Sorry haven't been updating regularly. Next seen is pretty sudden. The start of the 'big reveal'.
Who should the romance be with?    Or no romance at all? Just kidding, I've already planned out the whole book, so yeah.
I wish you could see the people who viewed you're story. Anyone know of any tricks?
Anyways,
Love ya'll,
Autumn Fine🌺
