Zane saves Izzy from a mugging

Zane and Isabella, she went by Izzy, were walking down the street. He had met her at a coffee shop after he had talked to several lone wolves. There had been an increase in the number of lone wolves and rogues in the area. They were keeping a closer tab on them following the fight, so the Lone wolves were better known, and they didn't react to them as they did with rogues. Toby had asked him to take a look and while doing it he had met the human female. She was an attractive woman who had settled down at his table since the others were full. They had started talking and being honest they had hit it off.

She was about five feet six inches tall. She had a bit of extra padding but not much and Zane thought it looked good on her. Some women didn't look good when they were slender since they looked half starved even if they weren't. Other women extra padding wasn't carried well and made them look overweight. Izzy carried the extra padding almost perfectly. To be honest she had hit all his buttons. Even though most wolves tended to be healthy he had liked her clean looks. Tessa had been a lovely woman when he was dating her but this woman had what he wanted.

"Where're we going Zane?" Izzy was walking with him and had his hand in hers. He had come across as cold originally, but she had found it wasn't quite true. He could be cold when needed but she'd found he was a kind caring person. It had taken some time to work the reason why out of him. Losing his parents and having his sister hurt explained it to her. They had been dating for several months and she had found his expression was a mask to keep people at a distance. There was still a slight reservation to him but she was comfortable around him. He did care and she had seen it when they had gone to a park. There had been some children there and he had ended up playing with them. There had been a softening around his eyes as he had spent time with them. If she had known his whole story she would have understood better.

"Found a new bar we might like. Mind you, I don't want to get drunk, but I do enjoy dancing." Dancing was something Tessa had introduced him to. As far as the amount he would have to drink to get drunk was off the chart, "Just want a good evening on the town and to ensure you have a good evening." Zane gave her a kiss before his senses tingled. When he looked up he growled, "Don't. Not worth your time and I don't feel like hurting anyone." He had noticed several people approaching and felt their threat.

Izzy tensed and wanted to hold on to Zane though he shook her off, "Just give them the money or what they want." She didn't know just how well trained he was. He had mentioned he had some self-defence training but that was it. The subject of what he was had never come up since he wasn't going to tell her about it.

"Not happening Izzy, they will want you as well as whatever else we have. They can go fuck themselves before that happens." He snarled it out even as one man gave her a lustful look.

"Do what the cunt says and all be well for you." He snapped out a butterfly knife and gave Zane a smirk. The two-looked like easy pickings and his attitude showed.
