TEN YEARS LATER
"Momma momma mommma momma momma momma momma momma momma!" Avalion shouts. I laugh and walk over to see him running up the stairs giggling. I laugh as he reaches me and hides behind my legs. Thor comes running up the stairs a little while later.
"I'm gonna get you!" Thor shouts at Avalion and Avalion laughs from behind me. I laugh as Thor lightly crashes into me and steadies us both.
"Hey! No pushing momma around." I tell them.
"Sorry momma." Thor and Avalion say together and I laugh as they both hug me.
"Alright! Avalion go get ready for bed honey." I tell him, kissing his head. He giggles and kisses my cheek.
"What about Lily?" Avalion asks. I smile at him.
"She's already in bed honey." He nods and then stops for a while.
"Daddy says I'm gonna have another little sister or brother." Avalion says and looks down at the floor. I lightly touch my six month old belly and smile at Avalion.
"Yes you will." I tell him.
"Will you love them more than me?" Avalion asks. I noticed that Avalion had been getting a little sad over this topic since Lily was born two years ago. He seemed to think I'd love him less as time past. I sat picked Avalion up and looked him straight in the eyes.
"Avalion I love you unconditionally. I love you all the same and no more and no less." I tell him as he hides into my neck.
"Promise?" He looks at me with those wide blue-green eyes of his.
Promise." I answer him happily. He smiles and kisses my cheek.
"I love you momma." he says as I put him down.
"I love you Avalion. Now go get ready for bed my love." I tell him. He nods and runs to his room. Thor comes to stand right next to me as I watch Avalion run into his room.
"He's so big." I tell Thor. Thor just wraps his arms around me.
"I know, but it's ok. He's a good big." Thor laughs and pulls me around so I look at him.
"How is it that ten years ago we wouldn't have had this?" Thor asks. "Without you I wouldn't be this in love with this many kids and completely a different person."
"Ten years ago I risked everything to make sure you would live. I won't live in a world where you don't exist and neither would our children." I smile at him. I hadn't told him about knowing Lily before she was born, but now seemed like a good time. "I know that you and our kids would survive without me. I met Lily when you were dying and she told me so. You guys could survive without me, but you don't have to."
"I don't think I would be able to. I love you too muc for that." Thor smiles at me and leads me to our party downstairs. It had take ten years to restore the palace, but it had been worth it. Now everyone was in the dancing hall.
I'd decided to wear a tourqouise dress. It had straps with a V in the breast area that ended just under with a silver diamon encrusted band. The dress flowed perfectly down my frame and barely showed my baby bump. I was letting my curls fall perfectly all over and had caramel colored eyeshadow on. My lips were a muted pink and the only jewelry I had on were my rings. Thor wore the same thing he always wore. His armour, but he was still the most attractive man.
When we descended the stairs everyone stopped dancing and bowed as we came down. I smiled at the men waiting to put our crowns on our heads. My tiara was the same one his mother had worn at her time and his was the one he wore when he had to. I smiled at him as we went to the middle of the dance floor and began to dance to the song that summed up everything I felt right now.
"Did you pick this song?" I asked Thor. He smiled and kissed me.
"I thought it was about time that you see how I felt." Thor answers honestly. I feel tears start to fall.
"This is perfect." I smile happily.
"Good. Happy Anniversary Esmerelda."
"Happy Anniversary Thor." I answer.
This was perfect. The song, the dance, the man, and the family. I'd finally gotten everything I ever wanted and so much more. I never ever thought I'd be this happy, but I was beyond happy. For the first time in our entire relationship Thor and I were peaceful. Sure we fought sometimes, but in the end we loved each other so much it killed us to be too far away from each other. We knew what it was like to almost lose your other half and we weren't willing to give each other up. Not in this lifetime.
This is how life should be. Filled with love and trust. This is something so sacred that I never want to find it with anyone else.
