Raul was completely and utterly bored the next day. For some odd reason, Welch didn't come back and Theron never showed. He felt a tad bitter about the latter part, but at the same time, he was worried that Theron got hurt in rescuing him. He glared at the ceiling. "I can't do this for another whole day. I've never really stayed in bed past sleeping before. It just doesn't seem right."
He could literally feel his left eye twitch from how anxious he was. "That's it." Raul sat up, wincing at the ache in his body, then threw his feet over the side, getting up. Swaying, he went to the nearest wall and inched towards the door. "Almost there." He murmured to himself, determined to at least get real fresh air or even food on his own.
It took a solid of five minutes but he reached his door. Feeling victorious already, he brought his hand to the door and opened it. Raul was grinning from ear to ear that instantly got wiped clean when he saw someone outside the door. Disappointment of all kinds hit him.
"I knew you would of cause yourself trouble." Banu told him, giving him a scolding look. "You should be in bed. Not crawling around."
"I'm standing." Raul corrected, irritable once more. "I can walk out of here just fine."
"Yeah," Banu raised her eyebrows at him, "with a wall. Want a cane too? How about a cane to knock your ass back into bed?" She waved her hands at him in a shooing motion. "Now, come on, back there you go."
"I will only get up again." He told her stubbornly. "So let me off this once."
"Do I need to bring my back up in here?" Banu smiled.
Instantly, he was suspicious. "That depends on who you brought."
She looked way too amused for her own good. "Well who knows who brought? It could be your hero or the one that shaken you up a bit?"
"Oh, for Odin's sake, what did you hear?!" Raul's voice raise a notch, worried what she could of heard. Did she hear Welch's confession? Was she a supporter of that?
"Only for me to know." Banu laughed then waved on her so called help. "He'll help though."
Raul held his breath, unsure who was going to show to only feel a weird mixture of disappointment and relief when Parnell came out. "Don't scare me like that."
"Alright, Raul, time to go back to bed." Parnell told him, shaking his head. "I don't know why you want to be awake. This is your time to sleep all you want --- I'm jealous honestly."
"Want to switch places?" Raul grumbled.
"Come on." Banu said sharply. "Rest in bed now. Parnell will watch you while I make you something to eat." She turned around and walked back out again to probably make the food that she said that she was going to make.
Parnell sighed but grabbed Raul, who reluctantly did as told, to help him to bed. He set him down and moved his legs. "I'll open your window."
"But I don't want the window." Raul complained.
"Well its' the closest that you're going to get." Parnell shrugged and went over to open the window. "You get to move around tomorrow evening. Just sweat it out for one more day."
"But I'm missing the games." He sighed, wishing that he could see Theron in action... Well, he simply wants to see him in general.
"Who cares about the games but those who want to leave the island?" Parnell sighed, rolling his eyes as he sat down to the nearest chair. "I have no interest leaving my bed – let alone the village on an island. I understand that you want that chief's son to succeed but I don't get why you'd want to be involved in the games at all. Maybe to show off to him? Get noticed?"
Raul fight the urge to blush at the idea of trying to show off, which in a way, he wanted to. "I just wanted to be like everyone else."
"Yeah, whatever you like to tell yourself." Parnell noted. "Anyways, I know they said two days, but, knowing you, I'll help you out tomorrow. You're an endless energy so one more day of this would kill you so can you wait till tomorrow at least?"
He wasn't happy with it but he'll go with it. "Fine. But only for today."
Parnell chuckled. "Okay, well, let me check for your food real quick." He got up again and walked out.
Raul looked away to the window, staring at the blue sky. He didn't really wanted to see the games at the moment. Truthfully, he wanted to go see Theron and speak to him. He couldn't believe that he did that for him. Though, should he really be that surprised? Maybe Theron was speaking the truth? That and well... there was also that he wanted to tell him about Welch then also speak to Welch about his confession.
Because even though Welch would be the safest decision, he doesn't make his heart race or jump like Theron does. Was it possible that it was all just a lustful thinking? Yes, but he rather have something to start with than nothing at all.
There was just simply a lot of feelings he felt, and all he wanted to do was tell Theron about them.
Raul rubbed his face. He knew better to have expectations and grew trust in something that might not work out, but his emotions always wins. He sighed. Maybe he'll trust his feelings more?
"You know, I was deeply worried about you and here you are – looking worried sick yourself." Mentioned a voice.
His breath caught. No way he could be here. Did the games end early? Or did he finish his part quickly to get here? Raul dropped his hand to look out that window, where he stood. "Theron." He breathed in shock, unsure how to talk to him all of the sudden.
As always, Theron threw that boyish smile at him. "Well, I wanted a more of a Raul reaction than hearing my name." He winked at him. "Though if it's any more breathless, I'm going to forge to be careful with you. "
