hey guys sorry that this took like forever but i hope that you enjoy it :]]]
-------------------
After about two hours of dead silence in the back of this stupid limo, I started to get a little ticked off. Jacob could at least have the decency to tell me where I was going to live until I came up with a plan to end this marriage before it even started. I took a deep breath and then let it out in a long, loud sigh. When Jacob didn't even turn his head I repeated, still no sign of movement on his part. I repeated that a couple more times until he looked annoyed and turned to me, "What the hell do you want?!" He yelled.
I just smiled, "Where are we going?"
"Home."
"Dumb ass, I'm wondering where 'home' is? Why else would I ask?"
"First off, you can't call me a dumb ass and secondly, you'll find out when we get there."
"Fine. And if I can't call you dumb ass, how about fuck up or dump fuck or ass hole or, maybe even-"
"Just shut up! You shouldn't call me those fucking names! Like you should really say that shit when your some slut who cuts her arms and thinks she has a sense of style when she doesn't!" He screamed at me.
I held out my arms, breathing deeply yet quietly to keep my temper in control, "I have no scars, I don't cut myself. Just for you information. And I'm not a slut." I paused before adding, "And I match."
"Yea sure you do." He said before turning back to the window. I wasn't in the mood to yell at him some more so I guess I'll learn where were going when we get there. I started to stare out the window, trying to make the shapes of the trees in the dark until I realized that we had passed a sign saying, 'Welcome To Michigan'. Fuck. Michigan people don't like me. After that I laid down on the seat and closed my eyes, praying that I could fall asleep and wake up in a warm bed in my pajama's.
I actually did end up falling asleep pretty quickly too. The next thing I knew I was being moved, not fully aware what was going on until someone lifted me up into their arms and headed to a house. I opened one eye to see that it was Jacob who was caring me. His arms were pretty comfy and he was so warm, it was like he was a space heater, it was just coming off of him like no tomorrow and, I hate myself for this, but I liked that fact. The only thing I really liked him for.
I soon dozed of again to wake up in a nice plush bed with the sun beaming into the room. I sat up and looked around the room, it was a sky blue with a white dresser and side tables, there were two beds, one was a twin, which currently Jacob was sleeping and that the one that I was in was a queen, they were on opposite sides of the room but not far apart since it was a small space. I turned my head the left to see that a big section of the wall was gone and over looking family room and just a little bit of the kitchen but the thing that caught my attention was the water. I quickly pulled the covers off and ran to the ledge where I could see, what I think was, Lake Michigan. The guy lived on the freakin beach. That lucky SOB. Wait, now I'm a sort of lucky SOB too. I could get used to the beach. I turned around to see my empty suit cases sitting on the floor, I tilted my head to the side and then walked over to one of the dressers and opened the top draw, and there laid all my shirts, neatly folded. I looked over at Jacob's still figure and smiled, so he wasn't that bad.
I looked for one of my swim suits and found it only a couple of draws into the search, I pulled out my favorite light purple one that Lily had given me for my birthday the year before and went downstair and found that the bathroom was right at the bottom of the stairs. I walked in and quickly changed and pulled my tank top back on so if Jacob woke up he wouldn't find me in my bare minimum. I then proceeded to the kitchen, the house was small yet cozy and welcoming, it made me feel so at home it was scary.
I then dug through the pantry and finally found the strawberry poptarts way in the back. I put some in the toaster and grabbed a paper towel from the roll and waited from them to pop up.
I turned around when I heard footsteps coming from the stairs and smiled at Jacob as he walked in wearing boxers and a white wife beater with some serious bed head, but it worked from him. "Morning." I said cheerfully while grabbing my poptarts.
"Morning." He said, a little shocked. I mean I was acting nice to him even though I had come up with all those names just the night before. But if I have to live with this guy I'm going to at least make it somewhat pleasant.
"Okay so where is this place?" I questioned while setting my poptarts on the table and then going to the fridge and grabbed the orange juice. When I turned around Jacob already had two cup out on the table waiting. I poured some in each as he answered.
"Traverse City, Michigan." He then held up his hand like it was a mitten and then pointed right between his pinky and that finger that won't go up on it own.
"This house is awesome, by the way. But where are your parents, or should I say my in-laws?"
He gave a look that said that it wasn't funny, which only made me smile brighter. "They don't live here."
"How long have you lived by yourself then?"
"Since last night. I spent a whole lot of time making this place look the way it has though."
"Wait, why?"
"Because my parents didn't want for me to make you live in some ugly little hole." He responded taking a sip of his orange juice. When I tilted my head to the side, confused he asked, "Didn't you know about this whole arranged marriage for a while? I've known since I was like eleven."
I shook my head and said, "Nope, I found out about twenty minutes before you showed up yesterday."
"That has got to suck."
"But if you think about it was probably smart of Mildred and John to tell me then because they knew I wouldn't have enough time to run." I smiled at him before heading over to the table and started to eat my poptart. I was a little surprised when he laughed and smiled at me before grabbing himself a bowl and pouring himself some Lucky Charms.
After a couple of minutes of a non awkward silence he asked, "Why do you call your parents Mildred and John? What happened to mom and dad?"
"Because they aren't my parents. I was adopted." I looked at him for a reaction and then said, "Oh, wipe that look of surprise of your face, when I was little I was cute and innocent looking, kay?"
"Right." He laughed and then took a huge mouthful of lucky charms.
"Oh shut up. At least my breakfast doesn't have marsh mellows in it." I said before picking up my last poptart and my orange juice and heading out to sit in on of the chairs in the sand.
After I finished my poptart and then polished off the rest of my orange juice I stood up, taking off my bright yellow tank top and headed into the water, going in slowly and getting used to the temperature before going completely under.
Once my head was out of the water I felt refreshed, as if I could do anything. Then I started to paddle out towards where the water turned from sea green to a deep blue. Swimming was refreshing and challenging which mad it a great workout. After I made two trips there and back I walked out and realized that I forgot to bring out a towel. Looks like I'm air drying. I walked up to the porch and took a seat on the outdoor patio couch before looking around. This place even had a freakin tv outside! I mean it was a small little white one but still, that is kind of fancy.
"Need a towel?" Jacob asked while walking out and holding a yellow one out to me.
I nodded my head while he tossed it and I then caught it and got up, starting to dry myself off.
"So, are you a swimmer or something?" He asked while I was wiping the sand off my feet.
I waited until I was done with that before answering, "I used to be." I said then wrapped the towel around my body and went inside. Ending the long story before it even started.
