New Year's Kiss

1 minute. 1 minute until 2017. Everyone was going to kiss someone else.

30 seconds. Everyone was watching the screen excitedly. People were going to their partners. I just sat near Avi.

15 seconds. We started to count down. Waiting for the new year to come.

5. "I'm sorry." I said to Avi. He looked at me strangely.

"HAPPY NEW YEAR!" Everyone screamed and then kissed their partner.

I grabbed Avi's face at put my lips on his. 'He's going to hate me.' I thought to myself.

The kiss was short, because I pulled away after about 15 seconds. I looked at him, and he looked at me. I put my head down and said. "I'm sorr-." I was cut off by Avi lifting up my chin and slamming his lips on mine. The kiss was longer, more passionate than the last one.

We finally pulled away after what felt like eternity. We looked each other in the eyes and started to blush. "I- uh. I l-love y-you." Avi mumbled. "I love you too." I replied.

"This was a great way to end 2016, and start 2017." Avi said. "Sure is."
