lilys brother woke up, the moon cutting through edges of the blinds that covered the window. He turned to the desk next to his bed and read the digital clock, it had just hit 12:00. It was really late but he thought he had a good opportunity to take a look at one of the presents for him.
he opened his door as quietly as he could, but it made creaks at the slightest move. One the door was open at least for him to fit through, he slipped through the wooden door and peered the attic. Jack looked around the attic trying not to make a sound until he pushed past a box with the words "my stuff" it was the box lily had when they moved into the house.
a present was sitting there, it was a blue box, covered in candy canes and it had a nice dark blue bow on top. He carefully lifted the lid to see a blue and white large "talking rabbit", he had seen the commercial, and if you pressed the button, it would say something to you. You could even record your own sentences. Jack placed the box lid on the ground and pulled out the bunny, it want in a cardboard box with those warnings. He eventually found a large white button, hidden as a paw pad, he pressed it.... "I LOVE YOU" jack found a speaker in the bunny's mouth, he hugged the bunny. -this is the best present-
The next night lilys brother woke up around 1:00 to hear a strange noise coming from the kitchen, so he got out of bed and dragged his pillow and himself to the kitchen, shaking in fear.
As he peeked over the cupboard, he saw the blue "talking" bunny sitting next to a box of cereal. Jack freaked out and the bunny suddenly said "TREAT TREAT!" that wasn't one of the lines. He quickly grabbed the bunny he then placed it back in the attic and headed over to the lounge, he felt like right after he left the attic, whispers echoed through it, and someone was following him, he could hear the noise of feet quickly running. he searched the Christmas tree. Nothing seemed to be there.
He decided the best would be to go back to his room and wait for Christmas, as he quietly picked up his pillow and walked back to his room, he saw the blue bunny. "hello jack.... after you put me back in my box, I thought you forgot about me, ill be here forever" the voice was in a low whisper, like the one in the attic.
Jack stared at the bunny, trembling with fear.
The bunny stared back with large green eyes.
Jack looked at the bunny and started to cry, tears falling onto his pillow. The bunny was haunted..
out from behind of the door, lily peeked out and laughed. "you thought the bunny was haunted" lily laughed at her brother, jack threw the blue talking bunny at her, she cought it and carried it supposedly to the attic.
Jack didn't get a blue bunny for Christmas.
