"I'll make them for you." Cassian groaned before throwing the ship into hyperspace. I stumbled a little not expecting the sudden speed and held onto the wall.
After 30 seconds or so I sat down next to Jyn, my head in my hands. It's hard to comprehend what's happened in the last hour or so... One minute I was on my way to get food and the next I find my old friend and end up in a spaceship. I'm not complaining though; if I hadn't of gone with Cassian and Jyn I would be dead. Cassian is currently telling the Alliance the events that just went down in Jedha. From what I can gather, Cassian is some sort of Rebel Spy who's been with the Rebel Alliance for quite some time and the patch on his jacket tell me he's a Captain. Very impressive, if I'm honest.
"Baze, tell me... All of it?" Chirrut asked in a hushed tone "The whole city? Tell me."
"All of it." Baze replied with a sigh. Bodhi, the Imperial pilot, shifted in his seat and took off his goggles.
"I understand." Cassian mumbled into the intercom before taking off his headphones. "Set the course for Eadu." Cassian asked K2-SO. Something was definitely off... Cassian was tense and his jaw was clenched
"Is that where my father is?" Jyn asked, full of hope
"I think so." Cassian nodded, avoiding eye contact with Jyn. There was a short, awkward silence that followed.
"So, you're Galen's daughter?" Bodhi asked Jyn with a little too much enthusiasm.
"You know him?" Jyn replied on the edge of her seat. I got up and went over to Cassian, lightly pressing his arm
"Are you alright? You seem a little tense." I asked him quietly, looking into his eyes
"Of course I am, I... Why wouldn't I be?" Cassian fumbled a little while looking at the floor. I nodded slightly before going back to my seat and began to listen to Jyn and Bodhi's conversation.
"I guess it was too late." Bodhi murmured
"It wasn't too late!" Jyn smiled at her fellow passenger. "It seemed pretty late to me." Baze groaned before looking out of the window again
"No. We can beat the people who did this! My father's message... I've seen it. They call it the 'Death Star'. They have no idea! There's a way to defeat it. You're wrong about my father!" Jyn said getting up and going over to Cassian. I haven't known Jyn for very long but she knows what she wants and is deadest on getting it... Whatever 'it' is.
"He helped build it." Cassian retorted
"Because he knew that they would do it without him. My father made a choice, he sacrificed himself for the rebellion. He's rigged a trap inside it, that's why he sent you to bring that message." Jyn nodded and gestured to Bodhi
"Where is it? Where is the message?" Cassian asked, raising his voice
"It was a hologram."
"You have that message, right?" Cassian said, a little hint of panic wavering in his thick accent
Jyn shook her head and guilt washed over her face "E-everything happened so fast."
At this point, Cassian was getting very frustrated "Did you see it?" He asked Bodhi in which he, Bodhi, responded with a shake of his head. Cassian looked at the floor and mumbled something to himself.
"You don't believe me?" Jyn asked, her lip quivering
"I'm not the one you gotta convince." Cassian murmured in a low voice
"I believe her." Chirrut breathed, his head bobbing
"That's good to know." Cassian spat sarcastically. I sighed and stood up and raised my hands in an annoyed state
"I'm sorry, everyone, but when will I find out what's happening? I honestly feel so lost right now."
"Jyn is the daughter of Galen Erso, a known Imperial collaborator in Imperial weapons development who has helped majorly in the construction of the Empire's newest weapon, some sort of planet killer... the same weapon that has just now destroyed Jedha City. The Alliance want him back in the Senate of the Testimony before the weapon is completed. My job is to find and return him to the Rebels once and for all. Does that make things a little clearer?" Cassian rambled with a slight smirk at the end
I nodded slowly, taking in the new information. "Yes, just a little. So, that's the only vital information I need to know? I don't want things jumping out at me later and I- "
"You'll be fine, Larissa." Cassian said finally and crossed his arms
"So, what kind of trap? You said your father made a trap." Baze asked Jyn, interrupting the moment
"The reactor, he's placed a weakness there. He said if you blow the reactor, the module, the whole system goes down! You need to send word to the Alliance." Jyn explained before turning to Cassian
"I've done that."
"They need to know that there's a way to destroy this thing... They have to go to Scarif to get the plans." Jyn insisted
"I can't risk sending that, we're in the heart of Imperial territory!"
"Come on, Cassian! Every second is a second closer to the Empire destroying the Rebels and if there truly is a way to stop them the Alliance needs to know now!" I rambled, standing next to him. Cassian looked at me in disbelief and shook his head
"Then we'll find him and bring him back and then he can tell them himself." Jyn stated. I believe what Jyn is saying, about the message. She has no reason to lie as there wouldn't be a benefit for her or her father. I know Cassian's been given orders, whatever they are, but he has to know there's more then what the Alliance is telling him, right?
