Chapter Two

Three wolves ,a mountain lion and a Demi fae male all racing down a hill side must look a sight especially as a giant  osprey joins us from the sky we power on. It took us a day in total to reach MistWard by the time we did a battle was well under way and stood out side the barrier was Aelin Ashrvyer Galthynius with her licking flames keeping back the valg princes I'd only ever heard of them in passed conversations and in one sick target I had Baron Loucura who practically worshipped them a Fae male this time unfortunately one who'd heard of me as well.

The others raced forward towards Aelin just as she swung forth her fire and opened a gateway into the darkness they ran through I shifted back and used my magic to winnow inside where Rowan was stood covered in blood at the start of a tunnel he looked at me and smiled gently before ramming his sword through an Adarlanian soldiers chest. I grabbed a blade as Fenrys and Connall jumped int the tunnel eager to start the blood letting I grabbed a sword and I ran back into the clearing where soldiers who got through met me and the first one sneered just seeing a small female completely missing the fact I knew how to hold my blade and how the others could see to give me space to work he was still sneering as he dropped dead on the the floor the other soldiers backed away from me as I swung again a deadly wave of death and destruction I unleashed myself completely, destroying the soldiers that killed my family not that they knew I existed I was a secret, the lost princess of the Galanthynius line lost ninety-four years ago I became the darkness as I tore through body after body when I looked again they were still grinning just as I felt the sharp coldness of the dagger pressing into my side just as he plunged the dagger in I twisted ramming my knifes into his stomach he dropped to the floor.

I couldn't remember the rest of the battle it's was hazy after that point when it ended Rowan and the others all went into a bedroom to talk few minutes later he went out to deal with Aelin I staggered to the meeting room I got three steps in before I collapsed on the floor someone grabbed me and I heard something being pushed of the table as I was set down I managed to utter one sentence before unconsciousness claimed me
"My side ,a dagger"
I could hear someone saying my name over and over.

2 days later I woke up to Fenrys beside my bed running his hands through his hair.
"You look like death" I whispered
"Well that does happen when your sat my someone's beside for 2 days whilst Rowan and Gavriel growl at just about everyone Connalls busy cooking with Emrys and Vaughan and Lorcan will be found in just about any pretty females bed.
" Suprised your not with them seeing as you love that."
"I've got my priorities sorted princess" he looked me dead in the eye when he said this "if I didn't sit here Rowan would kill me." And just like that the moment was over
And I went to sit up and looked down as I did I shrieked Fenrys jumped , the others ran in alerted by the noise.
"What's wrong " Rowan exclaimed as Gavriel sat on my bed Vaughan and Lorcan walked over to Fenrys , Connall stayed in the doorway smirked like the Prick he truly was.
"You let him sit in here for two days and didn't think to give me clothes to put on" I shouted then paused " wait please say you had someone else bring me to my room and get me unchanged whilst I was unconscious" I looked around nervously Connall just rolled his eyes I simply stuck my fingers up at him in a vulgar gesture Fenrys choked a laugh Vaughan just opened the window shifted and flew out. He obviously wasn't wasting time today but then again we have an awkward history together.
"Riviera Galanthynius Salvaterre Where in gods names did you learn that !" Gavriel exclaimed as Rowan tried to keep a straight face Lorcan suddenly shot upright I flinched as Gavriel realised his mistake and slapped himself Suddenly Fenrys eyes widen he'd never known my last names but then again he'd never asked .
"I'll get dressed then we'll all meet out the front and sort out this mess " I say sitting upright as they all leave the door shuts and I here Lorcan stamp off .

I'm dressed and out the front of the compound in half an hour to find 4 immortal pacing fae warriors as Rowan had gone to check on Aelin. Connall being the first to notice me turn to face me
"Oh here she is the mighty immortal pain in ass has arrived" just as he finished speaks no I pinned against the wall with my teeth scraping his neck one leg pinned over hips as a lover would and one knife angled at his chest
" Remember Connall I'm a trained killer it wouldn't take much to cut of your manhood and wouldn't that just be a little mistake with your immortal life ahead of you?" I uttered as I stepped away smirked.
"Bitch I will kill you " Connall said grimly rubbing away with small teeth lines on his throat
"Save it for later Connall we've got something else to deal with now seeing as Gavriel couldn't help but open his big mouth" Lorcan growled anyone else would cower under the gaze of a 7ft immortal warrior and his companions but I wouldn't back down now some people that's a trait of the Galanthyniuses.
"Is it true are you my daughter?" Lorcan asks me with a pleading look in his eyes for once he was truly looking at me of course he'd known me for years occasionally helped with my training but Rowan and Gavriel told  everyone I was an orphan found on streets to powerful for them to leave untrained everyone except Maeve who was training me to be a deadly female weapon.
"Yes I'm your daughter" I huffed and as he began to turn I spat out " but by the gods I wish I wasn't . Your a self centred bastard who doesn't care about anyone other than himself " he turned rage filled his eyes he shot towards me leaning over me he snarled
" Oh yes daughter dear if you'd had my life you'd see things the same way. Anyway what kind of name is Riviera which of my discarded lovers is your mother?" He raised an expectant eyebrow waiting Fenrys tactfully looked away but of course Connall was loving this until Gavriel stepped in thankfully
"Fenrys, Connall we're going now back to Doranelle."
I turned to Lorcan looked him dead in the eyes and simply said " my mother was Saphira Galanthynius " his face went blank "you used to call her your jewel she died Ninety-Four years ago after her family kicked her out for being pregnant with me she never married she used to sit by the door always watching always waiting for you. She was twenty nine when she died, then I nearly died as well I was cast out as my mothers body was still cooling thankfully Rowan and Gavriel found me and raised and you never once cared." I shouted I was crying by the end of this I dropped to the floor I'd never once said that to anyone one of my traumas buried deep within me I vaguely recall someone scooping me up.

Connall carried me all the way back to doranelle. When we arrived he took me to his room and laid me down on his bed to sleep. For days it stayed the same we shared a room he looked after me and helped me heal I'd never seen him as anything other than a self centred prick but he was different he cared on the 2nd day I was fully conscious when I looked at him for the first time just truly looked at him and that's when I realised what I felt and I saw I'd burnt him straight through his shirt he had two hand prints on his chest from my breakdown when he saw I was awake he swept over to me I grabbed him tight to heal his burns as I looked up at him he gently grabbed my chin and kissed me.It was magical , just utterly perfect.

Months of utter bliss passed life felt perfect and complete occasionally I had to leave on missions or connall had to do something for Maeve but we worked around it sharing a room and a bed staying up half the night, waking up next to him and remembering the previous night it was all fine until I was called back to Terrasen to deal with official court workings ,Maeve wouldn't let Connall Accompany me on this journey so I had to go it alone , it was the night before I was due to go away we were strolling through the palace when he took me out to the garden it was beautifully lit up with pedestals glowing in moonlight as I turned to exclaim my delight Connall took my hand and went down on one knee.
"Riviera I'm in love with you and have been since that day at MistWard when I saw you for truly you and when I realised you are my mate so would you make me the happiest male alive and be my wife " he said smiling with delight
"Yes , yes ,yes of course " as I did he slid the diamond cut ring onto my finger picked me up and carried me into our shared room where we spent the last night together.
