I'd been traveling for over an hour round the hills and through Wendlyn thinking about last night. I'm engaged to an immortal warrior. Maeve's immortal warrior. What in the gods was I was thinking to let it get this far I had to end this without hurting him I don't deserve anyone.

These thoughts traveled with me until I reached the sea once I arrived I found few boats around on order of the Ashryver families lock down still months after the Adarlainan attack that threatened the tranquil borders with the green rolling hills and territorial fae morons that run around doing what ever they like. As I stepped into the open I realised what I looked like with my wavy deep red hair half faced mask made of deep black material that brought out the silver in my eyes, the leather cat suit I wore for missions with hidden blades , along flowing cloak black on the outside silk like material in a deep burgundy in the inside and lastly my high heels that I always wear no matter how inappropriate Rowan thinks they are for missions even though I had daggers built into the heel. I looked deadly as hell . I ran up the nearest gangway to find the captain to see what silver he would take from me.

Turns out all he wanted was three gold piece to take me to Terrasen where I was to meet with lord Darrow, Murtagh and Ren Allsbrook because when Orlon was younger I was sent by Maeve to meet him for trade he discovered my heritage and wrote me into his will I never did find out what it was about after Terrasen fell because of Adarlanian kings hissfits and power problems. In total it took me an hour to winnow to the assigned meeting place be brief by what's happening with the meeting Aelin and her court were due to arrive in an hour so I began to survey the location we were in a small grubby inn with no decent air supply pressed full of farmer workers and all different traders traveling the dark path to Ornyth ,the capital of Terrasen ,after Aelins liberation of the continent. It was pouring with rain against the rotten thatched roof it had been so long since I was last on this continent so much had changed just then I heard approaching foot steps I scented Two fae, a male and a female ,a Demi fae male , a shapeshifter and a Child just as I regained my position in the treetops they came into view I used my magic to create a wind that contained my scent to keep it hidden. They stalked into the inn with a persona of malice , one male I recognised instantly as Rowan Whitethorn ,so this is where he's been hiding out after escaping the blood oath, the Demi fae male was Aedion Ashryver and finally the fae female was Aelin Ashryver Galanthynius , the shifter and child I didn't recognise but I was about to find out who they were as I leapt of the roof and into the inn to see what awaited.

I could hear talking as I approached the back room Aelin was getting aggressive, she had her fathers temper apparently just then as the thunder boomed I swung the door back and stepped inside lightning flared ,Darrow grinned like a homicidal maniac
"This Aelin is the reason your throne isn't yours. In Orlon's will it stated that if his heir is deemed unacceptable to rule she is ruler and as she is clearly to young to rule I will be her regent" Rowans eyes lit up at this declaration Darrow turned back to me
"Darling would you introduce yourself please "
Lightning crackled again I step further into view
" Princess Riviera Galanthynius Salvaterre or General Salvaterre or even Black widow I still own you throne " I said with a smirk to Rowan only Darrow noticed this one
"It seems princess Aelin your courts already moving into the new age"
"Lord Darrow it seems your mistaken and as my first declaration as queen regent I declare Aelin my heir and the ruler of Terrasen as I have other rolls to fill" Darrows face dropped to hear this Rowan was grinning like a maniac and Aedion was whooping too even that shifter was smiling gleefully when I she realised I wasn't an enemy when I continued
"As long as Prince Rowan is with her a long the way just as I will be to guide her with our experiences combine, As long as Aedion is her General and fights her battles and as long as this shapeshifter ..." I point a vague hand in her direction for her name and title .
" Lysandra ." She utters unsurely
"What's your name and title as your apart of Terrasen court " at that moment I catch her branding on her wrist the sign of a courtesan , no wonder Darrow doesn't like her.
"Lady Lysandra of Carraverre "
... Lady Lysandra of Carraverre is willing to stick by Aelin as a friend to help and guide I see no problem with my decree"
"By the gods you are too young to be able to help her and to rule as you must be twenty-one years old to rule you are only Twenty , a year older than Aelin" Darrow was incredibly frustrated by all this so I removed the mortal glamour concealing my features to prove I was fae for each word i moved a step closer and closer to Darrow
"Actually lord Darrow." I spat " I'll think you'll find I am much, much older than you I am old enough to be your mother even your grandmother so to hell with it Darrow" The look on all their faces was priceless nobody saw that revelation coming except Rowan perhaps seeing as he was the only one who'd truly known my age. Aedion however looking rather shocked not surprising considering our history.

Something else was now being discussed after I was so gracefully pushed out of the conversation I climbed to the roof to scout ahead for danger it was still pouring with rain up there when I saw a young man racing towards the inn I swung down off the roof and land in his path he hadn't seen me previously so he shrieked loud enough to wake the dead in this sleepy hollow which there probably was around after the fae massacre that occurred near here , I grab the spies collar as he spits out orders
"The witches fly on Rifthold. The witches fly on Rifthold. The city has gone. Duke Perrington's aerial Calvary are the iron teeth" I grabbed a fistful of his lanky brown hair and dragged him through the inn and into the back room for them to all hear and through the spluttering Aelin walked out ,her court all followed and of course I trailed on just to be nosy as we arrived out side Lysandra went to talk to Murtagh and Ren Allsbrook I followed on for extra protection I told myself not due to the fact she had the small child with the courtesan stamp which could never be good. I crouched down
"Hey there what's your name " she was sobbing into her mistresses dress
"I'm Evangeline ,miss " she sniffled obviously distressed about something
"Well I'm Riviera but you can call me Riv because that's what my friends do. So what's the matter with you?"
"I don't wanna go to Ornyth i really really really don't want to go with these men I don't know them" the rest was covered with inaudible crying I turned and looked up to Lysandra and softly said.
"I have to go speak with Rowan first but I can travel to Ornyth with Evangeline to make her feel safer while you all go on to where ever it is and meet up with you all there to reconvene." Lysandra nodded slowly with tears lining her eyes I stepped away to speak with Rowan just as he finished embracing Aelin , Aedion  just looked away I wasn't so tactful
"Yuck do you have to do that in plain view I'm going to vomit now " I pretend to be sick for emphasis Rowan just growled and swotted at my head I ducked under his arm. He stepped away to say something to Aedion I looked at Aelin
"Where are you meeting next I'll come to you " Aelin turn to look at me properly for the first time.
"Skulls bay, next Rowan is going to get King Dorian Havillard of Adarlan then I'll be a week behind him arriving "
"I'll go with Evangeline to Ornyth then straight to skulls bay and meet you." She kept staring at me.
"What?" I said touching my face thinking something was on it.
"Are you my aunt or my cousin?" I'd never really thought about like that.
"I think I'm your great great great Aunt , so you better do what I say and behave " I said with a shared smile between us as I walked away to find my horse and to scoop up Evangeline who was crying and screaming at being separated she soon latched onto me as we began to ride away ready to set foot in the home I haven't seen for so long well for approximately Ninety four years. We all said goodbye and set off on our separate journeys and as expected Darrow seemed utterly thrilled I'd accompanied them but I was only looking after little Evangeline.
