"If you aren't going to tell me where we are going, how do I know you're not taking me somewhere to kill me?"

Luke pretended to look hurt. "I thought you trusted me!"

"When did I say do?"

Luke's playfulness immediately disappeared as he stopped the car with a sudden jerk. "What did you just say?" He looked dangerously scary now.

I tried to keep up with the act that I was playing. "I said that I don't trust you."

Right then, he unbuckled his seat belt and bolted out of his seat to lean close to my face to the part where our noses were almost touching.

"Munchkin, if you're just kidding, tell me now, before I do something that we might both regret." He had on a straight face and he looked as if he was trying to hold his anger back.

For once, I was speechless. I kept on stuttering, "I-I-um-what are you doing?"

"Answer my question. Are you kidding me?"

Before I knew what I was saying, I blurted out, "No."

Everything afterwards was moving like a blur to me, but all I knew was that his lips were pressing onto mine.

When he pulled away, he sat back down, buckled his seat belt and continued driving casually as if nothing happened.

I stared at him for the rest of the ride and I swear he glanced at me a few times with a small smile hinting at his lips.

I am so confused.

When we arrived at our destination, I was a bit surprised to find a Chinese restaurant with a huge garden at the back, filled with roses.

Luke saw me take a step back and grabbed my hand. "Come on! I'm hungry!"

Once we were seated, a waiter came over to take our order.

"Luke, is that your girlfriend? You guys are so cute together, wearing matching colors," the waiter winked.

"Scott, shut up! You'll scare her away!" Luke laughed.

Scott had brown hair and an infectious smile that I immediately returned.

Luke saw my smile and frowned. "Dude, how do you always seem to charm the ladies with your smile?"

"Jealous, aren't you?" Scott smirked.

I was very amused, listening to their conversation.

"Anyway, aren't you going to introduce me to your girlfriend?"

I decided to speak up, "I am not his girlfriend! I'd be surprised if he ever got one!"

"Poor thing! So your love for her is one-sided?" I laughed.

Luke chuckled. "Tease me all you want, Scott, but a few minutes ago, she was busy, admiring my six packs."

I started blushing profusely.

"Well, give me your orders and I'll leave you two alone to flirt with each other all you want."

I scowled and the traditional Chinese fried rice, which was the first thing I saw on the menu and Luke, told Scott to double my order.

While we were waiting for our food, my stomach decided that it was the perfect time for it to tell the world how hungry it was. To me, it was more like the most embarrassing moment of my life.

Seeing how hard Luke was trying to suppress his laughter, I grimaced. "Just laugh."

Hearing that, Luke immediately roared in fits of laughter. My eyes bored at him, like I was trying to burn a hole in the middle of his forehead.

After glancing up at me, he fidgeted nervously and tried to change the conversation, "So, um, have you ever been here?"

With the expression on my face kept still, I shook my head slowly.

Fortunately for him (and my stomach), Scott came over to our table, carrying our food.

"There you go, two plates of traditional Chinese fried rice," Scott nodded at both of us, sparing me a smile.

I grinned back.

After we finished, Luke blindfolded me - again, I might add - led me somewhere and told me to stand still.

"Follow the white ones." I felt his breath on my neck.

Once he removed the black cloth, he immediately disappeared, and left me alone in a maze full of red roses.

Oh. My. God. A maze filled with roses?

Once I get my hands on him, he's so dead!

I took a deep breath and told myself that the sooner I start walking, the sooner this would be over.

Okay, after 5 minutes of wandering around and trying not to freak out, I managed to find the first white rose. A little pink note was attached to it: Can you find me?

"Oh, trust me, you don't want me to find you," I muttered.

After 20 minutes, I finally found the last one. It read: Boo!

"Boo!" Someone yelled, and hugged me around my waist. I gave a small yelp and jumped in surprise.

When I turned around and saw that it was Luke, I immediately gave him a hard punch in the stomach.

"Ouch!" he wailed. "What was that for?"

"That was for abandoning me in a maze with my worst enemies!"

"And this!" I tugged his shirt towards me. "Is for hugging me without permission!"

Before he could respond, I felt myself forcefully pulling him towards me, with his collar, to press his lips against mine.

At first, he was shocked, but soon enough, he smiled and kissed me back.
