"Astelle Monithei!"
I was shook awake as my eyes snapped to the teacher in front of me. I could literally see smoke coming from her ears. This was the third time I had fallen asleep in her class. I could hear them snot nosed nerds in the back laughing at me. I rolled my eyes as the teacher narrowed hers.
"Care to explain why you keep falling asleep in my class?"
Rolling my eyes, such a childish move for a 17-year-old. I simply explained to her how her class was boring and that nothing peaked my interest except sleep. She, of course, did not take a liking to my response and gave me dentition after school. I simply once again rolled my eyes and she went on with her tedious lecture.
When the bell ringed I was the first to leave, seeing as being in there I was slowly ageing from her monotone voice and the slow moving time. I only had one class left before school was over and even when school was over, I had to go to the stupid detention. I trudged my feet to my next class which was thankfully math and I half-liked that teacher, so things looked a bit better.
Walking into the classroom, it was just like any other. Desk in four columns lined vertically straight and the teachers desk at the front of the class. I choose a desk near the windows and laid my head down. Sleeping was the only thing on my mind, seeing as I barely got any last night.
"Hey girl!"
Groaning because I knew that high pitched voice from anywhere. I peak through the strands of my pixie cut pink hair, to see my hazelnut haired best friend. She grinned at me before pulling her notebook from her evil bag that contained everything that was related to school.
"What do you want Halia?" I asked.
She smirked at me. "Are you going to Justin's party tonight?" I rolled my eyes at her overly excited tone. She always had a thing for him and I just didn't understand why. He was a complete jerk and his ego was bigger than his brain. I sighed and her smirk instantly dropped. "Awe come on Astelle, come with me." I rolled my neck in a sort of slow-motion roll before giving the idea some thought.
"Will there be food?"
Halia's face instantly brightened up.
"There'll be boys."
I narrowed my eyes at her playfully as I cracked a small smile.
"But will there be food?"
She nodded her head and I was satisfied enough to want to go. Any party with free food is my kind of party.
"Okay fine, I'll go, but I pick my outfit." I knew she hated when I picked my own outfit for parties because she believes I have no 'taste'. She calls me an aesthetic flower, because as she says everything I wear just makes me look different and that my beauty is rather enhanced.
"Okay deal." I smiled before putting my head back down. Done with this conversation. I fell asleep once again and just like the many other dreams I had this week, this one was filled with pitch blackness. I didn't know why, but I wasn't afraid of it. I felt like I was being surrounded by love from the shadows. It was odd because I could feel many hands caressing me all over my body. One pair of hands was playing with my hair as another was massaging my feet.
I was pulled from dreams when some started shaking my body. A whine left my mouth because I didn't want to leave the comfort. "Astelle wake up lady. The class is over." I opened my eyes and sat up. Yawning I stretched my body and sighed when hearing a pop. I didn't feel like being bothered with detention but knew if I didn't go they would call my parents.
Standing up I said my goodbyes to Halia before making my way down to detention. I was wearing some mom jeans, a fitted crop top, and some white vans. I don't bring a bag to school, only bringing myself and my phone. My silver eyes were complimented with bags under them, my rosy lips were bright and pink while my pale skin was whiter than ever, making me resemble copy paper.
Opening the door, I saw 5 other students all spread out.
"Astelle Monithei, seems you decided to grace us with your presence. Please find a seat."
I exhaled loudly and moved along to find a seat. I looked at the students to see if I knew any of them, which I didn't. I sat near the back, near a window. I sat down and threw my feet on the desk and started leaning my chair back. I looked at the clock. Only an hour in here should be fine.
I looked out the window at the passing clouds and smiled when seeing the beautiful sun. I always had a fascination with it, judging by the many portraits I painted of it. Though I was in love with the sun, my heart fully belonged to the moon. The moon who has many friends know as the stars surrounding her.
"Okay, you are all free to leave." I zoned back in and noticed that the hour had passed already. Smiling I stood up and left the room. Walking down the now empty hall, I exited the school quickly. I didn't want to be in there for another second. The sun trailed down my skin as I basked in the warmth. I started my way down the street, walking right in the middle. Barely any cars around seeing as we were such a small town, everything was in walking distance.
Walking through the doors of my home, I was met with the smell of baked cookies. Inhaling the heavenly smell I walked towards the kitchen. My mother smiled at me. I was an exact replica of her. Same pale skin, silver eyes, and lips. I even had her midnight black hair before I dyed it.
Only thing of my dad I had was his high cheek bones and perfect eyelashes. I was an amazing combination of both my mother and father. My mother was the sweetest person I know. She helped everyone and she was always was cooking food to give to the homeless. I loved her so much for her personality, too bad I didn't inherit it.
"Can I have a cookie?" I asked taking a glance to the double chocolate chip cookies that were my favorite. I looked back at her and gave her my best puppy dog eyes and she simply rolled her eyes before pushing me three. I fist bumped the air and said a quick thank you, before retreating back to my room.
Might as well get ready for this party that I was supposedly going to.
Well looks like she's going to a party... but just for the food.
