I sighed as I threw some clothes on the bed. God I couldn't find anything that looked good enough for a party. Don't get me wrong I was only going for the food, but I did have a reputation I had to keep up. Picking up a California Republican tank-top, I paired it with some cut up shorts and some black vans. I could say this was a good outfits as I stared in the mirror. I accessorized myself with a necklace, some black bands and some cute hippy glasses. I threw on a black jacket and ruffled up my hair.
I smiled at my appearance. Biting my lip to bring some color to it and pulling at my cheeks to bring some blush to my cheeks. "Okay you look good Astelle, you didn't need Halia help." I turned away and looked at the time. It was around 9:30 and Halia was coming to pick me up at ten. I had thirty minuets to do some homework. I got out my art book and picked up a pencil. I knew one of my assignments in art class, was to draw a original flower. I sighed as I began, my inspiration being the moon.
I took my time and and smiled at the end. It was beautiful in my eyes and it was very different. I named it moon light and I was highly satisfied with the finishing product. I heard the door bell and thought it was weird because Halia always just walked in like she lived her. I set my pencil down and made my was downstairs. Walking up to the door, I opened it knowing that it was going to be Halia.
"Can I help you?" I asked when seeing an unknown man at my door steps. He smiled at me, showing off his pearly white teeth. I cleared my throats as my cheeks turned a darker rosy color. What could you blame me? He looked hot as fuck. "I was looking for Periola Monithei." I frowned for a second. Why was he looking for my mother?
"Uh yeah, let me get her. Who are you again?" I questioned. He paused for a moment, looking at me. "An old friend of hers." I sighed. "No dummy, I need your name." He held an incredulous look in his eyes at my language. "Uh it's Dexane." I smiled. "Well thank you Dexane." I closed the door in his face before turning and going to go get my mom. "Mom." I called out stressing the name out.
I saw her head poke out of a door. "Yes love?" She questioned. "You have a friend here to see you." She smiled. "Oh joy. Name?" She asked. "Dexane." I swear her face darkened and that was something new from my mother, seeing as I never seen that expression before. "And he's at the door?" I nodded and she smiled at me. "Okay, why don't you go up to your room and I'll call you down later. Okay?" I nodded and walked up to my room.
Taking out my phone I started texting Halia.
"Hey girl, where you at?"
I threw my phone down and starred at the ceiling in my bed. This is what I called relaxation before a party because it's always chaotic there. I heard my phone buzzing and picked it up.
"Come outside."
I stood up and quickly grabbed my bag before opening the door. I walked down stairs towards the living room, already hearing voices. I knew it was just mom and her friend. Smiling I popped in to see my mother holding her throat and the mysterious new friend sipping his tea. "Mom you're okay?" I asked and she nodded pulling a smile to her face.
"Yeah baby, going somewhere?" I nodded my head. "Yeah just to some party with Halia, I'll be back by 1. Okay." She nodded seeing as she knew I only went because of the food and that I was a responsible enough teenager. Walking out I yelled my goodbyes before walking towards Halias car.
It was the exact replica of the car Dean Winchester had in supernatural. She was a hardcore fan and she begged her parents to get it for her. She of course saved fifty percent of the money to put up for the car. I could see her bouncing up and down in her seat as she tapped her fingers on the steering wheel. It was a habit of hers when she was anxious. I smiled as I opened the door and sat down.
"Hey babe, ready?" She questioned and I nodded. She put the car in drive and took off. I was putting my seat belt on as she drove. She was always a fast driver. I use to put two seat belts on when she first started driving and I sat in the back. I was kind of afraid of her because she told me she loved the rush she got from it.
"Slow down please." I complained and she only grinned as she went faster. I held on to the dashboard as she made a sharp turn. I was surprised the car didn't flip over at how sharp it was. By the time we made it there, I was breathing hard and I hurried out the car. I heard her laughing as I held my stomach.
"Oh stop being such a baby. It wasn't even that bad." I glared at her and she only cackled more. "This is why I don't drive, too much hassle."
"Well we're here so lets do this." She grabbed my hand and literally dragged me to the front door. Opening it up I was hit with the smell of sweat, weed and chocolate. Weird combination that did not at all smell good. Smiling I let her hand go and made my way over to the food table.
Ahhh the main reason of me going to parties laid out right in front of me. Also this was a Justin party who is loaded and always has the best entrees out. I picked up a plate and digged it.
I was getting weird looks from other girls who were weirdly watching me eat. I sticked my tongue out at them and just went back to eating the small amount of mac and cheese on my plate. Once finished with all that my belly could take, I decided to go and look for miss Halia.
Moving through the sweaty mess of a crowd I was highly surprised when seeing a male on the other side of the room who looked sorta of out of place. He smirked at me and I almost fainted because Lord Jesus he was sexy as hell. I shook my head and turned away.
Didn't have time getting caught or mixed up with him. I had to find my best friend. I heard a scream but it came out as low because of the booming music. I rushed through the crowd wondering where and who it came from. I ran up the stairs and I could hear the screams of help coming from one of the rooms.
I ran closer and the screams became louder. I opened doors but still that wasn't the room. Finally coming to the last door I could hear screams but they were getting softer and softer. I turned the knob but the door was locked. "Halia!" I yelled and I heard her. "Help Astelle." I started tearing up. I used my shoulder to try to open the door.
I was getting a little light headed as I continued to use my shoulder. Finally on my last try it bustersd open. I looked around and my eyes was immediately drawn to red ones. The exact same red eyes that belonged to a man jumping out the window. He smirked at me before licking something of his lips. "Take care of her for me." His voice crawled to my ears and my eyes snapped to the bed where my best friend laid.
Naked, bruised and bleeding from various sources. I ran over to her and saw she was unconscious. I started crying as I called for help.
"Need some help?"
Poor Halia.
