When we returned to Hogwarts the next day all three of us were smiling like fools, even though we had been at Petunia's wedding we had enjoyed ourselves immensely and I for one couldn't wait to see Sirius again. It was about midday when we returned so everyone was in class, we made our way to the Common Room where we found Sirius asleep on one of the couches, he was stretched across it with a hand thrown over his eyes. James wasted no time in jumping on him to wake him causing Sirius to emit a groan of pain.

'Get off me, fat arse.'

James rose to his feet looking wounded, he glanced at me before his eyes settled on Lily with a pout on his lips.

'Did you hear what he said darling?' he cried with mock outrage.

'Yes, come on James, we don't need such insulting folk in our lives. Let's take a stroll.'

And so, the two clasped hands and walked away with their noses in the air pretending to be thoroughly insulted, I watched after them both in wonder, they really were perfect for each other. A pair of hands gripped my waist and pulled my backwards, a shriek echoed throughout the empty Common Room as I fell over the back of the couch and onto Sirius' legs. He had a large grin stretched across his face and I smacked him on the shoulder as I adjusted myself so that I was more comfortable.

'Sorry, I just couldn't resist.'

I rolled my eyes at him as I slung my legs over his and rested my head against the back of the couch, my eyes drifted closed of their own accord but my mind was racing with thoughts of what had happened between Sirius and I at the wedding.

'Violet.'

My name was uttered so softly I barely heard it, my eyes opened, and I turned my head towards Sirius with a small smile.

'Yeah?'

'Did you have fun at the wedding?'

'Some parts were more enjoyable than others.' I admitted.

'Such as?' Sirius prompted.

'Well, when Vernon tripped over the altar, I think James may have had something to do with that if I'm honest.'

'Anything else?'

'I overheard two of Petunia's bridesmaids bitching about her choice in dresses for them in the bathroom, it was refreshing to say the least.'

As we had been speaking Sirius' face had been getting closer to mine, he was so close that I could feel his breath against my lips as he spoke.

'Is that all?'

'There was one other thing.'

'Oh yeah?'

I nodded my head slowly, our noses almost brushing in the process.

'And what was that Violet?'

I had been intending on teasing him some more but the way he said my name erased all rational thought from my mind and an involuntary shiver racked my body. Sirius smirked lightly at my reaction before finally closing what little distance there was between us and kissing me again, just like the night before my stomach was filled with butterflies and my mind was reeling, but it was perfect. I couldn't say I had ever imagined what kissing him would be like, but I had heard plenty of girls raving and in my own opinion they were all right. Kissing Sirius Black was amazing.

The portrait hole swung open with a loud creak and we sprung apart, it was as if we had an unspoken agreement to see where whatever was between us could go without outside interference. Alice strolled through the Common Room with a small wave in our direction as agreement, on her way out she stopped and turned to face us with her usual innocent smile.
