I gasped in pain as Peter stepped on my foot for the fifth time, shooting Remus a glare as he motioned for me to be quiet I carefully moved so that I was standing in front of Peter and he was bringing up the rear of our trio.
'Sorry Violet.' Peter muttered.
'Don't worry about it Pete.' I reassured with a small smile that he probably couldn't see in the darkness.
'Alright, are you both ready?' Remus asked.
Without waiting for our response, he tapped the hump on the statue and muttered the incantation, the hump slid open and with Remus's help I slid down into the tunnel. Hands grabbed my waist to steady me and I smiled as I recognised Marlene's perfume, I thanked her before pulling out my wand to illuminate our ragtag band of rebels.
'Where are the other three?' Peter asked as he rose from the ground he had so unceremoniously fallen on.
'They went ahead to Honeydukes because Sirius got peckish.' Cassie informed.
I rolled my eyes and checked that everyone was present and ready before leading the way to the cellar, when we reached our destination, James, Sirius and Lily were sucking on Sugar Quills and resting against sacks of Blood Pops. The three jumped to their feet upon seeing the rest of us and Sirius offered me a Sugar Quill, when I declined he shrugged his shoulders and tucked it behind his ear for later.
'Is everybody ready? Cassie, do you want to come with me?' Remus asked.
Cassie nodded her head shyly and tucked her arm into the crook of Remus', Sirius slipped his hand into mine and I saw Lily and James clasp each other's hands despite them both being able to Apparate. With an almost deafening crack the lot of us disappeared.
I gripped Sirius' hand as the familiar sick feeling I got from Apparating made itself known, I took deep breaths as Sirius rubbed circles on my back, once I was ready I reached into my bag, the one James had extended for me, and began to pull out Muggle clothes for everyone. The four boys began to strip out of their robes immediately without a care in the world while us girls stood flabbergasted as we tried to decide if we were comfortable changing in front of them, the boys however made the decision for us. Once they had all dressed they turned to face the mouth of the alley, so we could have a modicum of privacy, as quickly as we could we slipped out of our robes and into our Muggle clothes.
'You can turn around now.' Marlene told them as I gathered all the robes into my bag.
I slipped the last item of magical clothing into my bag and zipped it up before slinging it over my shoulder and thanking God that James had the presence of mind to add a featherlight charm when he made the bag extendable.
'So, where to?' Marlene asked mischievously.
'I heard there's an underground party tonight.' Sirius supplied.
'Underground?' Cassie questioned with a horrified expression.
'It's not actually underground Cass, it's basically just a group of Muggle teenagers protesting the prim and properness of society, it's mostly rich idiots at the start but the rich idiots bring expensive alcohol which attracts the cool people.' Marlene explained.
'Oh, how are we getting there?' Cassie questioned, clearly still baffled.
'Get a taxi, James and I are going to collect something first.' Sirius said as he ran a hand through his hair.
Remus went to find a taxi and Sirius dropped a kiss on my forehead.
'I won't be long.' he promised.
