What happened?
So, mom was pretty poor as compared to my dad who was at the time a typist, working for a big firm, while mom was just a waitress at a restaurant people barely frequented: which kind of explains how easy she landed the job with no experiences whatsoever.
Dad visited a cool café(known then as "Get Wasted, don't mind how the coffee tasted) right across the street from where he worked. He went there during lunch, and other times he felt he had time to waste. He used to think about his future anytime he payed a visit to this café. I'm all the times that held his visit, none had held a pretty young lady(sure there were some pretty ones), with curly black hair, a cute nose and mouth(I don't know why mom added this part), a curvy body he was interested in.
This one time though, on February 14, 1990, mom had heard stories of people getting free coffee and snacks on Valentine's Day at the 'Get wasted, don't think of how the coffee tasted' café, so she decided to test the truth of all that. She was so broke at that time, and could not survive to get three square meals a day. And what's more, her paycheck wasn't due until the next month, being march.
"Sorry Ma'am, we do not offer free cofée on this day any longer", the woman at the counter said to mom.
"Please, just one and I won't be seen anywhere near your shop, I promise", mom said with teary eyes.
"Do you not comprehend simple English Ma'am?, I said there is none! Get out!", the woman yelled. Visitors and customers of the café stared and were engrossed in the heated interaction between the two women, but none stood to defend mom. You could tell by their faces they felt pity on her but did nothing anyway.
Except one person.
Who was kind and compassionate enough to stand up for rights of women(she did not add the women rights but I thought it fits). It was none other than Jeffrey(my dad). He walked up to her and said, " your beauty and modest words are not worthy for a coffee and most importantly, they are not worth the utter rudeness of this woman or the people's pity. They are worth whatever you really desire and I can sacrifice to get that for you, only if you accept to have dinner with me so I can acquaint myself better", he said. (Such lovely words right?)
"Umm, thank you very much sir, but I wouldn't want to know someone as humble, courageous and kind as you on the basis on getting what I want after that. The fact that you even stood and came to my defense gets a 'yes' from me. Thank you", she said and held his hands( don't question how I got to know all these, mom tells stories in pretty great detail, one of the myriads of reasons I love her.)
"The name is Jeffrey, and please do come sit by me", he said, which mom agreed to, and after which dad ordered three coffee's with chocolate flavor( which happened to be dad and mom's favorite). Dad convinced the woman at the counter to apologize, which she did, and as proof of how sorry she was, she gave mom another cup of coffee for free.
That was mom's happiest day ever, and a day she met the love of her life. Does good come before love or love comes before good? Well, their relationship blossomed after that life changing encounter and my addicted-gaming brother and I are the product of the greatest couple of all time.
End of story... now let's continue with the real story.
Back in my room, I turned on my music and played Buster's playlist ( I know you're wondering how I got them... I'm pretty sure you remember when he was admitted the first time at St. Augusts?, well, that's how come, I got bored.) I fell asleep whiles jamming to most of the cool music. He really had great taste in music.
I was rudely awoken at 6:23 by my stupid-loud-ringtone, I cursed myself for not placing it on silence earlier. It was a call from Ms. Lucy...'Oh•My•G'... my heart skipped a beat. I wondered why she was calling.
