How did you feel when Duke blamed you when you took him home?

Honestly, when he accused me of trying to get rid of him when I brought him to his old home... one, I felt really bad for his old owner's death, two, I felt awful for him not having any trust in me, and three, I felt angered. Like, how could he just blame me and say I tried to get rid of him? I only wanted him to be happy and he just accused me of trying to get rid of him. I was about to leave him there before the animal control guys came. But we are alright now, and that's all that matters. All I can say is that it was a moment where I had mixed emotions of frustration, hurt, and anger at him all at once at the time.
