Hello!!2nd chapter's up finally!
Chapter 2
Matt's POV
I checked at my phone,almost midnight.If i was right Beth left work an hour ago,how come she hadn't arrived yet?I've called her already five times but got no answer.
I walked in the bedroom deciding to get some clean clothes and go get a shower.
As i entered the room,my eyes fell on the nighstand.There was a photo of me and Beth on our wedding and another one from our recent honeymoon in Paris.
I smilled reminishing the memories of that trip and picked up the photo.
Suddenly my phone rung.I glanced at it and the number didn't seem familiar but i picked it up.
"Hello,is that Mr. Smith i'm talking to?"
"Yes that's me,who am i talking to?"
"This is officer Ross Williams and i have news regarding Elizabeth Black.
She was involved in a car crush,she was found 4 miles west of Manchester on the highway and is now at the regional hospital".
"Is she alright?"i asked,my voice breaking occcasionaly.
"She is fatally injured,the doctors are doing their best to keep her alive".
"I'm on my way!"i hung up.Fear spread all over me.
I rushed to my car and quickly drove off.

15 minutes later l was finally at the hospital.
I asked where was she.They told me she was at the surgery.She needed stitches on the back of her head and a part of the car's door was close to decapitating her.
I couldn't believe what i have just heard,it was like a black hole has swallowed me whole.
Everything i heard,meant that i was going to lose her unless a miracle occured,which was something highly unlikely.

After 3 hours of waiting,the doctor came out of the surgery.Compassion and sympathy in his eyes.
"Was the operation sucessful?Is she alright?"i asked,my voice shaking
"The operation was sucessful but,but she is on a coma."
Suddenly i felt weak,like someone has stabbed me in the heart and twisted the knife.I slowly sat down,holding my head with my hands.I felt tears forming in my eyes but i refused to let them fall.
"When will she wake up?"i asked instead.
"We give her five days,if she isn't up by the fifth day,there's not much we can do."
"If she is not up by then,are there any chances she will make it?"
"It's still too early to know.Give her some time,she is strong.Oh,i almost forgot.She will be transfered to another room,you can go and she her in a little,give it 15 minutes maximum."
"Thank you doctor."
