Chapter 4

Mike's POV

Just yesterday they let me know about Beth.

While I was on the parking lot after football practise,Matt called and told me everything about Beth's situation.Since our parents had died,I was the only one she could rely on ever since she was little.

Matt,he was like a brother from another mother.I've know him since junior high school and I trusted him with my life and so did Beth.

I got at the hospital an hour ago.

I talked with the doctors and now I was sitting with Matt,none of us talking.

Matt was a mess.He seemed like he haven't slept for days and he had also been crying if you ask me but,can you blame him?

I was emotionless.I wanted to show emotions,hell cry even but I just couldn't.I stayed staring into empty space instead.

"She will be fine,I know it Mikey,she just can't let go." Matt said in a barely audible whisper.

I stayed silent but nodded just to show that I heard him.

Matt's POV

"Her situation is still critical,I'm not gonna lie to you gentlemen.

Fortunately,according to the tests we have ran,she will wake up within 2 days."

"So she will wake up,for real?" I asked.

"Yes,for we're certain that she will.

Oh,and by the way,I'm Dr. Josh Everett,Beth's new doctor,Dr.Edward Harries was sent to another hospital."

"Nice to meet you then,Dr.Everett." I said and shook his hand.

It's been a long time since i last felt this.Hope.She was going to wake up soon and everything would run like clockwork,or at least i hope so.

Hope among other qualities,is the last one to fade away.
