Hey there!For your information,this story will have at least 1 or 2 more chapters but I'm considering a sequel

Chapter 7

Dr.Everett's POV

Matt called.Something came up with Beth.A burglar who broke into the house stabbed her.

Matt was crying on the phone,he was mumbling and he told me something along the lines that she was probably going to lose the baby.

Ever since Beth got out of hospital Matt and I have become very good friends.

I felt sympathy for him,blimey,the guy was unlucky to say at least.I mean,such a beautiful wife expecting a Godsent baby boy and now there was a possibility that everything would be laid to waste.

I got to the hospital and found Matt pacing outside the operating theatre.

He was a shadow of himself,pale face,swollen eyes,it was apparent that he had been crying,a lot.

His head was pressed against the wall,he was on his knees.

I patted his back and called out to him softly.

"Josh?"He croaked.Tears still evident in his voice.

"Hey buddy,how are you keeping?"I smilled reassuringly.

"I'm losing my family,m-my Beth,my baby.I'm losing my baby,brother."He started crying again.Brother,yes we were like brothers even though I've know him for only half a year.

"Hey,hey they will be alright.Now tell me,about your son,have you guys decided on a  name?"

"Tristan Ajax."He said smilling a little.

"Tristan Ajax?You hate your baby or what? I'm kidding,lovely names.

Ajax will be his middle name right?"

"Yes."He smilled,not a forced smile but an honest one.

"There you go!Brighten up!Can I be the Godfather?"

"Yes,ofcourse.We'd love you to."

Matt's POV

**An hour later**

"Mr.Smith,the situation is not ideal and we could save both of them or none of them.

I'm sorry but we have no more choices."Dr.Brown said with an empathetic look on his face.

"How is she now?"Was the only thing I could say,I was devastated.

"The first operation was successful,she is asleep now.The second is going to be risky and I don't wanna lie to you,it's a sticky situation we hope they survive."

"She is strong,your son's a Timelord they will make it through this."Josh said after Dr.Brown left.

"I don't know what to believe anymore Josh."I sighed.

And this was the truth.Any kind of hope had left me long ago and it was replaced by doubt.

Would they make it?
