"Valerie, wake up." my mom screamed from downstairs for the ten's time.
"Okay, I'm up. " I screamed back.
I took me a while to remember last night's events. I went on another blind date arranged by my bestfriend. The guy was sweet but I don't know.
I shook my head getting rid of the thoughts as I threw the covers of me and got out of bed and did my routine. I went to the bathroom and had a refreshing shower to wake up. After that ,I wrapped a towel around my body and hair ,and started deciding which outfit should I wear today.
I'm not that girly or anything, I just like to look presentable.
I went downstairs smelling bacon and eggs. When I entered the kitchen I found my mother and sister chatting.
"Hey there." my sister Jessica said.
"Hey." I said quietly.
We never really got along that well ,we were more like bestfriends when I was younger but since my sixteenth birthday she treated me differently. When I asked her what did I do she said I didn't do anything ,she always says she's got a lot on her mind.
"Good morning, mom" I said, kissing her cheek.
"Good morning darling, have a seat. I made your favourite".
Mom always knew how to cheer me up ,especially when jessica's around.
"Here you go, darling" my mom said ,putting my plate on the table.
I sniffed and felt my mouth water from the smell. I realised how hungry I am right now. I literally digged in my plate.
"So, how's school." Jessica said, a mocking smile playing on her lips that I wanted to wipe off her pretty face.
"Great, thanks for asking" I said with a smile similar to hers.
Jessica and mom continued small talking about something I didn't bother with, I was more focused on food.
"I better get going, April will kill me,"I said, putting my plate in the sink.
"Thanks mom." I said, waving at her not giving jessica a second glance.
"Bye to you too" Jessica said sarcastically.

I got out of the house taking a deep breath to get my mind off jessica.
A car horn startled me ,I looked to my right to see my bestfriend April in her mercedes car looking at me angrily.
"I should be the angry one here." I said while getting in her car
"I love that shirt, when did you get it." April said changing the subject. Yep that's her way to get out of trouble.
"Yeah yeah change the subject" I said.
"The bitch is in the house ,isn't she?" she groaned.
"Yep," I said popping the 'p'. "How did you know?"
"Her car, duh"
"I knew I should have came in" she said putting her Ray-Bans on and starting the engine. She never really liked jessica ,she told me it was something more than just a change, but I just shrugged it off.
"So ..." April started after a while.
"Don't even start that conversation again, April. For god's sake" I whined knowing where this is going.
"What! It's my duty, you have to get yourself a connection with guys somehow." She said, throwing her hands in the air fustrated, like it's the most obvious thing in the world.
"And do what? Go on blind dates? No thanks I'd rather die in a hole," I said and she huffed at my reply. "And why do you make me sound like a freak."
The rest of the car ride was silent just the radio humming and April singing terribly. We finally made it to school and we both got out of the car ,and as usual jake ,april's boyfriend, was waiting for her.
She ran into his arms and he twirled her around. And here I am standing like a third wheel.
We walked to our lockers in silence her words in the car still swimming in my mind.
'You have to get yourself a connection with guys somehow' she was right I never really had a proper boyfriend before.
"Oh. My. God" April whispered-shouted in my ear with her eyes wide open ,I looked where she was looking and found the most perfect ,sexy ,hot and the list goes on guy. He had a sexy messy hair perfect lips,eyes ,body and everything.
I think I have been staring a little too long because he definitely noticed my stare.
'Way to go val' the voice in my head said sarcastically.
That's when I snapped out of my trace and looked away embarrassed. When I looked again he had the most perfect half smile I'd ever seen in my life.
"Aww someone's a little too into the new guy" april teased.
"Shut up for a minute will you" I laughed and continued walking with her.
"You can't deny he's hot" April said.
"You know jake's right next to you, right" I smiled, looking at Jake.
"Thank you, I could go punch him right now" Jake said, jealousy obvious in his voice.
You know that lovey dovey couple that gives you hope for love? Yep defiantly them.
"He's not you." April said, smiling at him.
"I have to go to now. See you guys" I said, patting April's shoulder, walking away not waiting a reply, making a gagging sound in the process. Don't get me wrong I love them both ,jake, he's like a brother to me. And april is more than a sister for me. But being with them two I feel like a third wheel so I like giving them space.
While I was so into my thoughts about last night ,jessica ,and what april said to me and that new guy I pumped into something ... Or may I say someone. I stumbled a little but a strong arm steadied me to my feet again. I looked up and saw the most beautiful eyes staring right back at me ,he was inches away from me. I could feel his hot breath on my face.
Shit.
