I woke up before my alarm which is strange. I took the opportunity and headed to my bathroom to have a good long bath. I opened the tap and let it fill the bathtub while I chose what to wear today.
After what felt like forever I settled to wear black skinny jeans , pink tank top with a black cardigan in case I felt cold. I returned to the bathroom took my clothes off and let my brown hair down from the messy bun and got into the water.

After an hour or so, I got out and wraped my body in a towel and headed for my room. I got dressed and started to comb my hair neatly. I decided to let it dry naturally , and then went to put my makeup.
I don't wear much makeup just eyeliner and a lipgloss that's all. After I was ready I grabbed my bag and headed downstairs praying that my 'sister' not here.
"Morning mom." I said entering the kitchen.
"Morning baby." she smiled at me.
"The devil's not here." I gasped dramatically, earning a scowl from her.
"Okay okay, sorry." I sighed, sitting down.
"C'mon, she's not that bad." Mom Said
"As you say." I rolled my eyes laughing.
"So where were you yesterday?" she asked turning to face me.
"I was at Tyler's we had a science project, I'll go over today after school, too." I said.
"Okay." my mom replied slowly.
"Mom ,he's just a friend" I chuckled.
"Well that's what you said about --"
"Don't even say his name please" I groaned cutting her, knowing she was going to say Liam.
Liam was my so called 'boyfriend' two years ago or more. He was so perfect in every way. Caring ,Loving and everything you can think of. He defined perfection.
Until i found out that he cheated on me. Actually this has been going for a month.
"Here you go." Mom said, putting my plate infront of me. I instantly digged in. I was starving.
"I'll go get that." Mom said when the doorbell rang. After a minute entered Jessica the kitchen and I wanted to disappear.
"Hey, valerie." she smirked at me.
"Hey, Jessica." I replied not looking from my plat.
"Thanks mom for the breakfast ,bye" I said finishing quickly before Jessica started a conversation with me.
"But I wanted to talk to you." Jessica stopped me.
Okay she definitly wants something.
"Maybe next time you visit" I smiled at her and headed to the door not waiting her reply.
I stood outside my house waiting for April but she didn't show up. I unlocked my phone to find a message from her saying that she's sick and will skip school today.
Why didn't I look at my phone earlier?
I thought about going back inside asking politely Jessica for her car. But no. I guess I'll walk.
I walked quietly for a while until I heard a car pull up beside me. I looked to my left and found a dark blue sports car. A second after that I saw Zac getting out of the car smiling at me.
"Hey, Valerie." He smiled.
"Hey, Zac." I smiled back.
"Why are you walking ,don't you go to school with April?" he asked.
"Yea I do, but she's sick today so I have to walk." I shurgged.
"I can drive you." He offered, opening the passenger's door for me.
"Oh no, it's fine I want to walk." I lied.
Of course I don't want to walk but I don't want to get in his car either. He was my friend before but I don't know.
"That wasn't a question." He chuckled.
"I'll walk." I repeated, starting to walk.
"Then I'll walk with you." He said, closing the door and following me.
Why couldn't it be Tyler.
Oh shut up ! the voice in my head replied to the other voice. I'm really normal.
"No you're not." I chuckled.
"Watch me." he said.
"You're not gonna leave ,are you" I smiled, turning to face him.
"Nope." he smiled back popping the 'p'.
"Fine I'll get in the car." I rolled my eyes and walked to his car.
He got into the car also and started the engine.
"So ,do I take that as a yes?" He asked.
"Yes for what?" I asked confused.
"A yes to hang out with me this saturday," he looked at me hopeful. "C'mon, I miss you."
"I already told you, I'm not free." I smiled at him apologetically.
"Oh, okay we'll find another time" He smiled weakly at me.
I have to admit I find his efforts sweet ,but I kinda wanted to have a lazy day by myself. Jessica will be out all day, so it's a win win.

We finally got to the school's parking lot. I got out earning glares from the girls when they saw me getting out of his car.
Why did April get sick today.
"Thanks again Zac for the ride" I smiled at him and he returned it saying "Any time."
I turned to walk trying to ignore the glares and stares.
That's gonna be a tough day.
I walked in the school halls waving at people I know. I'm not the popular girl type but I have lots of friends. I reached my locker and got the books I needed out.
I headed to my English class but stopped in my tracks when something caught my eye.
A girl was pinned to the wall. Let me correct that : Sophia was pinned to the wall kissing a guy. Sophia is the most popular girl in our school , she was gorgeous and all, but also she was a bitch. And let's say she didn't like me. And the feeling was mutual.
But the guy's back was oddly familiar. That's when he turned around and his eyes met mine.
