"What the hell April ! You almost gave me a heart attack." I screamed at April.
She liked to trick me every once in a while, she somehow found it amusing how I get tricked easily. And she chose to try and kidnap me today.
"You should have seen your face ,it was priceless" She kept laughing and holding onto her stomach. I kept glaring at her trying to even my breath.
"You know," I said. "If I didn't love you you'd be dead by now."
"Yeah, you just love me" she smiled, shaking her head.
We walked quietly to a small cafe instead of starbucks; April changed the plans. It didn't take 2 minutes. We entered and it was surprisingly empty just a couple at the back , and a girl at the counter ,that's really it. I liked when it was this quiet.
We sat next to the window and our waiter came to take our orders "My name's Tyler I will be your waiter for today." I looked up and yep it's THE Tyler.
I looked at him and smiled and he returned the smile instantly.
"So, what do you want to get." he asked.
We told him our orderes and waited for him to come back with them.
April's ringing tone startled me. She reached for it, answering it smiling "Hey babe". Yep it's jake.
Actually sometimes I get jealous of their relationship he really really really loves her. One day he came to my house crying; because they had a fight and he was afraid that she would break up with him and begged me to do anything saying 'he couldn't live without her' I quote him. I could see the truth in his eyes and the love as well. And I'm sure as hell that she loves him back just as much.
"Hello" April said, waving her hand in front of my face, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"What did you say?" I asked.
"I said I've got to go, Jake needs me" She repeated.
"Is everything alright?" I asked.
"I don't know, he didn't say much. Do you mind if I go check on him?"
"Of course not, go." I said shoeing her.
"I'm really sorry. I'll make it up to you." she said, kissing my cheek and hurried outside.
Well I'm all by myself. Yay !
"I see your friend has left." Tyler said, putting our orders on the table.
"Yep" I chuckled.
"I'll finish work at 7, if you don't mind waiting for me, then we could hang out for a while." He smiled at me.
"Um, sure. If you want to, I mean you don't have to." I said nervously, tugging strands of hair behind my ear.
"Of course I don't. Be right back." He said and went to work. I looked at the clock and it was 6:30.
I waited for tyler, drinking my hot chocolate quietly and thought what could be going on with jake. And how my 'hang out' with Tyler would go.
"Hey." he said smiling, sitting in front of me.
He has changed into a dark skinny jeans and a t-shirt with a lot of drawings on it ,which fitted him perfectly, showing his well built body. His hair was a little messy, but in a good way. God he's perfect.
"So how was your day at school?" I asked, breaking the silence.
"It was surprisingly good." he said smiling at me.
"Good for you." I smiled back.
"Why don't we play twenty one questions? So we could get to know each other." he suggested, looking at me.
"Okay, you start." I smiled.
He thought for a while then said, "What's your favourite colour?"
"Cliche," I chuckled. "Pink and blue."
"Favourite movie?"
"Fast & furious" he smiled.
We played for a while and I got to know him better. He liked black, used to skateboard back in Jacksonville, but when it came to talking about his parents he seemed uncomfortable, so I didn't push it.
"Do you want to go for a walk?" He asked, looking out the window. We've been playing for an hour twenty one questions, and honestly I was starting to get bored.
"Sure, why not." I said, getting up and headed for the door which he opened it for me. We walked silently enjoying the weather. It wasn't that cold really it was nice.
"Do you have a boyfriend?" He asked looking at me.
"No" I replied, shaking my head.
"Why not? I mean you're beyond beautiful." he said.
"Thank you," I replied blushing at his comment. "But it's not about beautiful or not."
My phone rang and my mom's name flashed on my screen. I swiped the screen to answer.
"Hey mom" I said answering her.
"Valerie where are?" She practically yelled.
"Mom chill, I'm out with a friend. What's up?" I sighed.
"Come home now, there's someone here wants to see you." She said quietly.
"Who?" I asked.
There was silence on the other end for a while ,that I thought the call had ended and then she finally spoke.
"Your dad."
