Chapter 4- Sneeking Out

  2 Weeks later
<Prince Matts POV>
  "I'm going to um uh play outside." I nervously tell the queen as I start to walk out the door careful not to look to suspicious.
"Matt wait!" Darn it... "Yes?" I slowly turned around to find princess Miranda all dressed up and ready to go outside. Oh no she's gonna come with me.
"Why don't you take Miranda with you, she hasn't been out to play in a while." The queen suggested, noooooooooooo.
"I was going to go to the pond in the woods and I don't think she's aloud to go there." I quickly covered up with.
"I will slow it if you stay with her the entire time, I know you won't let any harm come to my daughter." The queen replied slowly after thinking for a second about it. "But don't go any further than the pond, I don't want you two getting lost." She finished.
"Yes ma'am." I bowed my head before picking up princess Miranda and carried her outside. I can't believe this, I'm not going to get to see Hazel. I sighed defeated as we walked outside.
[A Few Minutes Later]
"Ok Miranda, we're at the pond. Did your mom put you in your swimsuit?" I tried to say without sounding upset. Wait, maybe I could still meet Hazel. Miranda is only two she won't tell her mom, she probably won't even remember when we get back to the palace.
"Yes she did prince Matt" She replied in her little voice that would make even the most cruel person say aw but not me. I know I shouldn't be mad at her for having to marry her but I just can't help it.
"Ok you can take off your jacket and go into the shallow end of the pool I will be over in a second." I replied as I saw Hazel walk slowly out from behind a tree with a puzzled look on her face.
"What is she doing here Matt?" Hazel worriedly whispered to me. "Won't she tell her mom?" She sounded scared.
"No I realized that she's two and the palace is probably far enough away that she would probably not even remember by the time we get back so it's ok." I replied to her question and I visibly saw her face relax as she realized that I was right. I say down on a nice rock next to the lake and pated the spot next to me. This has been the perfect day.
               [An Hour Later]
"Bye Hazel I'll see you later ok." I said as Hazel disappears into the forest   to go home. "Come on Miranda it's going to be dark soon we need to get back." She hadn't seemed to notice that Hazel had been there. I got really lucky with that one.
            [A Few Minutes Later]
"Queen Alexis we're back." I called out when we got to the palace. I saw Miranda run to her mother the second she saw her come around the corner.
"How was the pond you guys?" The queen asked.
"It was great mommy, I got to go swimming and play in the water and then as soon as I got in the water that mean girl that wants to steal Matt came and they sat on the rock and thought I wouldn't notice. I'm going to go find daddy." She quickly replied before running off.
