The Difference Between Us (An IA x OC Fanfiction)

chapter 6: an unknown date

"So is it okay?" Mishiga asked IA who looked barely recognisable as she wore the sunglasses and cap.

"Yeah," she replied.
"Wanna go to the arcade?" Mishiga asked and IA instantly nodded at this.

"Yay!!!" IA yelled as they reached the arcade.
Mishiga simply watched her as she entered the arcade as he followed.

He also watches IA as she continued playing the arcade games, leaning against a nearby wall.

"Mishiga~!" IA said as she ran towards him. He then stopped leaning against the wall then looked at her.

"Can we go get lunch? I'm hungry," she said, and Mishiga just nods at this.

She then held his hand and he just stared at her.
"What?" She asked and Mishiga looked away.

'It's a date...' he thought.
'And here I thought we're just hanging out,' he continued.

"Let's go!" She said, smiling at him. He sinply nodded at this as they walked...well IA skipped.

"Well we're here," IA said as they were looking at an Italian restaurant...well Mishiga was actually sleep walking.

"Mishiga wake up!" IA said and Mishiga woke up almost instantly.
"What?" He asked.

"We're here," she repeated and Mishiga rubbed his eyes with his free hand since they're still holding hands.

"Okay," he said as both of them entered the restaurant. There was practically everything Italian-related things.

And somehow, Mishiga saw a little kid, white pale yellow hair and yellow eyes.

"Is that Oliver?" Mishiga asked. IA looked at him then looked at the child.

(Idk how Oliver looks like. Please bear with me.)

"I don't know," she replied as she then sat nearby the window and Mishiga sat opposite of her.

The waiter looked at both of them and gave them the menus. IA then took the sunglasses off as Mishiga didn't bother to read the menu.

"You already got something in mind?" She asked and Mishiga nodded.
"I kinda like lasagna," he said as he shoved a hand into his jacket pockets.

(Why did I not thought of that?! Mishiga's character item should be lasagna!!!)

"Okay," she replied as she chose spaghetti and Pepsi. They told the waiter their orders, and the waitress nodded and went away.

"Okay. IA. You know a few things about me. Mind telling me a few things about you?" Mishiga asked, looking at her.

She looked at herself and laughed nervously.
"Let me guess, you won't tell me," Mishiga said, and she nodded.

He sighed as he leaned against the chair. Soon enough, another waitress came and served their lasagna and spaghetti.

"Thanks," Mishiga said, as he took the spoon while IA grabbed a fork.

They soon ate their food. "I admit...I like it," he said, once he swallowed the food while IA nodded as well, tears of happiness came out...only for a bit.

And when IA's drink came along, however, they blushed. IA's Pepsi had two straws, which meant they have to share.

"Should we share?" He asked, tilting his head, and that was enough to make her blush even more, as that somehow made him look cuter.

"S-sure," she replied, stuttering in the process.
He nods as he leaned in and drank from one of the straws as IA drank from the other straw.

"Hey I got a question," Mishiga asked as they were now on a rooftop of a building.

"What is it?" IA asked, looking at him.
"Was that hanging out or a date?" Mishiga asked, tilting his head.

She blushed but shrugged.
"I don't know," she replied. Mishiga stared at her for a few good seconds before he tried to stand up.

However he failed and fell and IA had tried to prevent it but also failed as they both fell onto the floor.

"Ow..." Mishiga groaned and tried to stand up, but then he felt a weight on his body and when he looked, it turned out to be IA.

IA looked at Mishiga.
"Are you okay?" She asked, looking worried. And Mishiga nodded at this.

"Can you get off of me now?" He asked, and she blushed as she got off of him.

"Let's go back to the manor. It's already sun down," Mishiga said as he stood up.

She nodded as she held his hand again, and now, he doesn't mind a single thing about it, except that his heart was beating faster and felt a spark when they held hands.
