Shane's POV

Joey was still asleep.  his heart stopped over 2 hours ago. he should be awake. I noticed that his left hand was twitching. he was breathing fast and heavy.

Shane: Doctor!

Doctor:What?

Shane: add a symptom to your little chart. look at Joey.

he nodded and walked away. what was wrong with us? are we going to live a long and healthy life? I need to know. I want to know. even if only Joey walks away I will be happy. only Joey needs to walk away-

Doctor's POV

I have never seen a case this rare.

Nurse: Shane's heart is failing.

I got up and dashed to Joey and Shane's room.

Doctor: clear..........clear...........clear and he's back.

He just got a new heart. how the hell did it fail? it was a strong heart. I began to breathe heavy. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10. good. my pulse is normal for someone who ran from the bottom floor to the third floor.

Joey's POV

I was waking up. slowly but at least I am alive. I moaned. And I shook my head slowly.

Joey: Shane. Shane.

I looked beside me and there was Shane. he never replied. I noticed he was asleep. I reached over and grabed his hand and then I cried. silently. I tried to breathe and stop crying. the wirst thing I can do is cry. I must stay positive. for shane. for everyone. I had to stay strong. but this is how he must have felt when I nearly died. I noticed that my hand was twitching.

Joey: Doctor! My hand.

Doctor: I know Joey and it's ok. it just conformed what you have. Do you want to know the details ir just get on with the treatment?

Joey: Just give me the treatment. but what about Shane?

Shane: Give me the treatment.

I gasped and then leaned over to hug him. I left my head in his shoulder and he rapped his arms around me. he stroked my hair flat. a tear of happiness rolled down my cheek. we were niw both getting the treatment.

Sawyer: hey guys.

Shane: hi.

Joey: hey Sawyer.

Sawyer: So how you doing?

Shane: Not bad.

Joey: Ehh, you?

Sawyer: Same old same old. so when you guys getting out of here?

Shane and I looked at eachother.

Sawyer: You don't know?

we nodded. then the doctor walked in.

Doctor: Alright just a few more days in here and your good to go.

Shane: Thank you.

Doctor: No problem.

*A few days later*

Shane's POV

we are finally home. we are out of that place for good. I need to go out and buy something now. I need to get the ring.

Joey's POV

Shane is going out. where is he going? what is he doing? when will he be back?
