Okay before I start I wanted to say I had no clue Lil Yachty father was named Shannon lol. It's ironic I picked it for his mother.

*****
Somehow I ended up ending up at Ms. Shannon house with her and Yachty for dinner. She did most of the speaking to the two of us. I was too nervous to start up any conversation.

"Well imma go fix the pizza," she says, walking out the room, leaving her son and I in the living room.

For a while it was awkward and all you could hear was the tv. I could feel his eyes on me making me even more nervous.

"So um you do hair with my mom," he said, as the two of us sat on opposite ends of the couch.

"Mhm. She taught me damn near everything I know," I say playing with my nails.

"That's nice. My momma always been good at hair and she always wanted like, a daughter to teach," he giggles.

"Well I'm fortunate enough to have her teach me."

"Mhm. Do you like my music at all?" He asks, letting his quiet nature come back out.

I can't help but show a big grin as I nod quickly. He grins back at me and lets out a little laugh.

"Can I tell you something?" He says turning towards me.

My heart dropped and my body filled with nervousness.

"S- Sure."

"You're really pretty."

The three of us were sitting at the table eating pizza while old school music hummed in the background.

"Where are you from Cordelia?" Yachty asked

"I'm from Northern California."

"So you're from the Bay Area or something?" He says after taking a sip of his drink.

"My family is but I'm from South Sacramento," I say with a slight grin, thinking about my city.

"Oh so it is true that Sacramento girls are the baddest. I went there once but I wasn't there long and I don't really meet too many people from there," he blushes making me blush too.

"Well as a whole were probably far from the baddest," I say thinking of a few girls back home. "But we've got a few that represent."

"Like you," he adds.

"Alright Miles, she let her eat. You acting like you've never seen a beautiful girl before," His mom says, winking at me.

When we were finished eating I decided it was late and I should probably head home.

I hugged Ms. S, "goodnight doll, thanks for having me over. I'll see you at work Monday."

"Goodnight yachty- " I start it he cuts me off.

"Imma walk you out," he says placing his hand on my back and guiding me out the door. When we were in the porch he shut the door behind us.

"Ooh it's cold out here," I giggle as I pull down the sleeves of my sweater.

He laughs as well as we slowly start down the path towards my car.

I looked around the almost pitch dark street as I listened to the sound of crickets.

"So you stay in Atlanta, permanently?" He asked as I leaned up against my car.

"Yeah, I love it here," I smile making him smile too. "I don't see myself anywhere else for a long time."

"Yeah it's a nice city. You out here by yourself?"

"Yeah, I don't know anyone really but it's alright. It's like my own adventure."

"Well do you think maybe I could have your Instagram and you're number too?"

I take him phone and enter my number and then pull up my Instagram on his phone and hand it to him.

"That's me," I see him click the follow button and slide the phone back into him back pocket.

"I guess, hopefully I'll see you real soon then," he says as he hugs me, his voice kinda muffled from my hair.

"It'll happen," I smile, letting him go. I unlock my car and get in, Yachty shutting the door for me.

"Drive safe shorty," he says stepping back.

I waved one last time and with that I was off.

When I got home I got straight in the bed and dozed off easily.
