"Are you really sure you don't want me to walk you out?" I say as we both stand by my front door, him prepared to leave.
"I'm sure," he smiles taking a small step towards me. "I'll be okay."
"Okay whatever you say," I smile back at him, looking up to meet him looking down on me. He pulls me into him, his hands wrapped around my hips.
He comes closer and moves my hair to the side, kissing me.
He pulls away but I bring him back in with another embrace. I blushed as we stood like that not saying anything.
"Goodnight," I say quietly as he pulls away, walking on the other side of the door.
"Goodnight baby girl," he says, smiling. He walks down the hallways of my building and waves one last time before vanishing behind the wall.
I shut my door and slide against it like a little girl, squealing in excitement. His words "Goodnight baby girl" playing over and over in my head.
My phone started ringing, snapping me out of my trace. I see it's my best friend calling, I haven't talked to her in days.
"Hello?" I answer.
"Bitch yo ass was on the shade room! Your dating Lil Yachty and had the audacity not to tell me?"
"Woah Leelee we aren't dating," I say slowly, trying not to trigger another go at me.
"Girl something's going on! He called you pretty and big head."
"Okay girl I like him but we not official of anything like that. Matter of fact he just left-"
"Just left? Did y'all-" her loud nature makes me roll my eyes.
"No! We watched movies all day. All he did was kiss me."
"Seriously. How often to do see him?" She says, scoffing.
"We met Friday afternoon. We was together all day yesterday and today. I don't know if he really wants a relationship though girl," I frown.
"Cory," she says calling me by my childhood name. "If he's with you all this time and he's associating himself with you publicly he must want you. He's not spending time with other females if he's with you man."
What she was saying made sense but it's only been three days. I wouldn't be shocked whatsoever if I wasn't the only one he was feeling.
"I don't think the whole him interacting with me on social media means much Lee, girls don't care. A lot of females will still talk to a guy in the dark, they think they can be a side and pull an Amina," I say making the both of us laugh.
"Okay that's a good point. But watch I bet he waiting for the right moment to cuff you love. He still feeling you out,"Leelee says.
After talking for a little bit longer I head in for bed because I have work in the morning.

"Morning Ms. S," I say walking in the door of her shop. "How was your weekend?"
I start organizing my station for the day as we talk to each other.
"It was nice, I got a lot done. What about yours?"
I smile slightly in remembrance. "It was a lot of fun."
Ms. S shows me a smirk and stops what she's doing. I blush, knowing exactly what she's thinking.
More of the girls who work in the shop piled in one by one and preparing for their clients.
I was in the middle of braiding one of my clients hair when me phone goes off, making me use my headset.
"Hello?" I say, still focused on the braid.
"Hey Cordelia," I hear Yachy's voice fill my ears.
"Hey," I say giggling slightly.
"What are you up to?"
"I'm braiding a client right now."
I hear him mumble something to himself. "I forgot you were at work. I'm sorry for interrupting you."
"Oh no it's okay. I have my headset it so I'm still braiding as we speak," I giggle. "No worries."
"If you say so shorty. What time is you and my moms break?"
"Uhhh," I think. "We both go on break around one."
"Alright I'm gonna come and bring you guys food. What do you want to eat today?"
"Surprise me."
