Have you ever found writing on Wattpad to be difficult? Have you ever stared at the screen for minutes, hours, DAYS, repeating that chapter in your head, the one that makes you sound like an amateu...
Welp, it's Hurricane here, and I'm back with a rant! Skip if you wish.
Clichés. Ugh, these irk me! Wattpad authors, you beautiful, beautiful creatures, stop subjecting yourself to overused clichés!! "Nerd meets badboy/player," "Alpha and abused werewolf mates," "Good girl and bad boy fall in love." MAKE SOME NEW MATERIAL! Create a story you can proudly call your own!! One where you won'tsee dozens of other versions of it. Instead of "good girl loves bad boy," try something like, "good girl hates bad boy and goes for good boy."
And how about interracial relationships? We never really hear about those. If you're going to succumb to the clichés, at least try something like "Black female rogue meets white male alpha," or "Saudi Arabian female nerd falls for Brazilian male player." TRY SOMETHING ORIGINAL!! Wattpad is overrunwith "good girl meets bad boy" and "Alpha and abused mate" stories! Ugh, it's so overused!
Mix things up! You'd be surprised what your mind can create if you dedicate yourself to a few minutes of thinking!!
BE ORIGINAL! You guys are capable of so much, so why subject yourself to such an unoriginal storyline??
