Me: We all miss you lots, hope you come home soon. Mum's doing great, keeping us all in line I mean😂   Love, Max.
I sent that text two months ago, I stare at it everyday and wonder where he went. Mum said it was business related, I believed it...for a while. But...things didn't seem right. Like something was up.
Paul👻: Linda! I had a great time at the club last night hope to met up again soon.😉😘
I was surprised to see a text from dad--. No, Paul, at all, especially a flirtatious one. I couldn't bare to show it to Mum, but I couldn't just ignore it.
Me: Wrong number Dirtbag😡    Love, ex-son Max.  P.S. Mum is doing great without you.
Surprisingly, I got a message almost instantly but the door flew open and I was unable to read it right away.
It was Harvey. I continued to listen to One Call Away by Charlie Puth until he began to talk.
   "Have a sec?"
I yanked out my earbuds and threw my phone down. We made eye contact before I looked away, staring out the window. "What do you want Harvey?" I heard my voice crack, my eyes began to burn.
There was a long pause. "Uh...? Nevermind." Another pause. "Oh! Jade wants to know which of the three bonds are the strongest."
My leg began to shake uncontrollably. "K," I replied, irritated. I'd tell her before class tomorrow.
He walked out and I turned my phone back on.
Paul👻: I'm so sorry son! That wasn't meant for you. Coming home soon though, send my love to the others will you?
Me: Don't bother, you're not welcome here anymore. We moved on, and so has Mum. And Paul? Don't EVER call me son again, cuz you're NOT my father.
Paul👻: Max! Max please don't tell your brothers and sister! I'm begging you, I'll get you a new guitar, just don't tell them!
Me: Don't worry...I'm not interested in that stuff anymore. That life left me when you did.
I threw my phone at the wall and screamed, sitting up and moving to the corner of the mattress. I tore my beanie from my head and began to cry. I eventually found myself gasping for breaths in between sobs. The air coming through began to burn my lungs and I felt fatigued. Without any warning signs, in my opinion, everything got dark and I fell into a slumber.

Sorry it's such a short chapter, not a ton of time! Harvey gave me permission to write a chapter in his story but he said it had to be short and miserable.😅 Love you guys, bye.
Love, Max🎸
